God Pearl and Scott are so insane. There's so many scenes where they're so so close to getting along, they're so close to having a regular damn conversation, they're so close and they can never actually do it. It always ends in Scott making a comment about her being insane or her trying to hurt him. They're so close to fixing it but neither want to they just want the hurt to stop. But they miss each other. They miss each other so badly and Scott might hide it better but fuck if he doesn't show it too. And it ends with Pearl leaving him for someone else this time, Pearl leaving him behind, and it's always how it's going to go. Them abandoning each other over and over and being so close to fixing it if they'd just admitted they'd fucked up. If they'd just tried. They were so close and never close enough. And in the end they couldn't even apologize. Scott couldn't even think for a moment that maybe Pearl didn't deserve it. He couldn't even stop to think about how much of this he had caused. Because he is so so scared of being in the wrong. God. I know this is incoherent rambling I'm just still emotionally recovering. What the fuck, man. That finale.
