Jericho exited the room and told Scott she wanted him before heading back to J.P.'s room.
Jericho stood up from where he had been sitting. "I will certainly do that. Bye Thea."
"I should probably head out before I do get in trouble." Jericho said with a light chuckle. "I'll make sure Jamie, knows what you said."
"Thanks,Thea." Jericho had a smile on his face now though he was still beating himself up over not protecting his little brother more. "Means a lot." He never did get much approval from their father and it did show.
When Thea responded Jericho couldn't help the smile that formed as if all his worries faded. "That's good to hear. You really think that?"
"I guess." Jericho replied. "I didn't stop dad and I've kept quiet when I knew what was happening. If I haven't let him down then I'm ashamed of myself."
"But I've done nothing special for him to look up to." Jericho shook his head still unsure of how his brother could think that. "I mean I love him and have tried my hardest to make sure he is okay and happy. I feel like I've let him down."
"I have no idea why he thinks so highly of me." Jericho stated honestly confused as to why his brother thought that way about him.
"Yeah?" Jericho wondered what Thea was getting at. He had an idea but wanted her to elaborate.
"I know. He tried to leave a few times seeing what dad did manage to do to me."Jericho chewed on his lip. His little brother had always been stubborn and sometimes he hated that.
Though she tried to hide the wince he saw it. He knew she still had a ways to go before she wasn't in pain. "I feel like I have. I've not been there enough. I could have and should have done more."
"I could never do anything to make up for the fact that I failed him as a brother. I failed you because I didn't stop it when I knew it was getting bad." Jericho swallowed hard trying to keep back his emotions. He didn't want Thea to see how weak he actually was.
"Okay then." Jericho said he admired the girls determination to save his little brother. "Whatever you can think of to help. I know you are upset that this has gone on so long and I'm ashamed to have let it."
"Thea, I'm sure Jamie, doesn't want you to get more involved then you already are." Jericho swallowed hard knowing that his little brother wanted to protect his friend at all costs. "I'm hoping that what we have is enough."
"He is. Though,Jamie,he thinks nothing will come out of it." Jericho chewed on his bottom lip. He thought the same thing but he was trying to keep positive thoughts. "He thinks that he'll fake his way through it. He can try but we have prove. I have prove." He said rubbing his right wrist.
Jericho had always sensed that the two of them were somehow connected in ways he couldn't understand. "Yeah. Did he tell about dad?"
"I'll tell him that." Jericho knew that she was right about helping his brother focus on himself and getting better. "That's good,Thea. I know I'm working on him, being here helps immensely."
