Sometimes it randomly occurs to me that one day my fiancĆ© might die before I do. That I might have to live on without him. Iām ashamed to admit how truly terrifying that thought is to me. He is my better half, my rock, my closest friend, my partner in life. I canāt imagine life without him. I pray that if I must live on without him, it is when I am old and gray, after a long life of raising our children and watching our grandchildren come of age. I pray that our life is full of each other, full of love, full of family, and full of God. I pray that if I must go on without him some day, I am surrounded by the family we built and I can go on happily knowing that he is watching over all of us from beyond.
Iāve been through some terrible things in my short life and hereās what Iāve learned (itās all written for us clearly in scripture).
You can go through life as a victim: complaining about every disadvantage you face, hating the world, and blaming everyone else when things go wrong. This is what I did for a while.
Or you can take charge of your life: be grateful for each blessing God has granted you, love your neighbor, and humble yourself enough to understand when YOU are the one who messed up/dropped the ball/need to make a change.
I can tell you that once I made that shift, my life improved dramatically at such a rapid pace that I wondered why I hadnāt been taking charge of my life this whole time.
Pop culture/mainstream media wants you to remain weak, unchanged, and in pain/fear. There are several organizations that purposely paint YOU as a victim, and paint THE OTHER SIDE as the enemy. They want this because they PROFIT off of your fear.
The Lord wants you to grow strong in your faith. He wants you to step away from the darkness of pain and fear, into the light of His Heavenly Kingdom. He wants you to OWN UP to your own sins/shortcomings, and improve. He wants you to humble yourself before him, and instead of blaming the neighbor/āthe other sideā for your problems, he wants you to drop your problems at His feet, for he will wash them away with the rain.

Nothing is sexier than a man who wants to take care of you in every aspect of life.
