i’ll talk about chapter 5 a bit

I think visually this is one of my favorite chapters, but I do wish it had more story progression. Asgore’s development felt a little weaker compared to what we got for Ralsei whom I’m now convinced is meant to be a representation of Kris wishing they truly “fit in” with their monster family. Some Dess characterization crumbs would’ve been nice.

It felt…tonally dissonant compared to the end of chapter 4 and I was so expecting something to go horribly wrong during the festival but that’s probably waiting in chapter 6. Haven’t done the weird route yet so I can’t say much else. I was hoping the flowers would reveal a bit more about Asgore’s research but that also didn’t happen.

Susie making Castletown her new home ie choosing to live in a fantasy shattered me.

I do not care for Flowery and his boss battle is absolutely busted
