I'm not one for incessant wedding countdowns because they made me feel unhappy ways when I was single or not engaged and I prefer inclusive things... *but* I thought just one might be acceptable? Sappy caption to ensue: These two kids are getting married in two weeks (14 DAYS!). I can't believe it. I'm so incredibly excited to be permanently linked to the best friend I've ever had who loves me just as I am but helps me reach for better every single day. He's more than I ever imagined. Its crazy now looking at these old pictures, knowing what will happen between then and now and everything we've been through. It was worth every second. To Josh, my very soon-to-be husband, I love you and I like you.

It's #internationaldogday, so obviously I'm taking the chance to be mushy and annoying about the purest and least complicated joy in my life - my four-legged best friend. I never knew exactly what people were talking about when they were crazy about their dogs until I met my little one. It was hard work for quite some time but boy, did it pay off. Her love for me is amazing and the sweetest comfort day in and day out. I could write a novel about my love for her, but I won't do it here. Thanks to God for helping me find the exact puppy I needed, and to @farlorn14 for telling me I should go with my gut and take her home with us. Our family of 3 rocks. 👩🏻🐶👨🏻 P.S. Thanks to God, my amazing and endlessly patient partner, @farlorn14, my loving and supportive family, my perfect therapy dog, Izzy, and my wonderfully, perennially stressed-out nursing school friends, I really did it. Honorable mentions go to Starbucks for the hydration and caffeine, my bed, even though we never get to spend enough time together, my brain for pulling it out on the exams and the NCLEX when even I didn't believe it could, and exercise and junk food, for keeping me (mostly) equal parts healthy and happy. Now to start WORK! (Coming to an Albany Medical Center near you, July 24th.)
