Alexa (bitchynative/mangomichu/bpmorte) and Gabe (arsinbee/chickenalbed0) callout
aka our racist ex roommates that have not left us alone since they kicked us out in April.
We moved in with Alexa and Gabe in January, to their apartment in California. We were currently homeless, my partner and I, and living in an airbnb and we launched at the idea of having a place to call home. Alexa had been mutuals with my co-host for about a year prior.
Directly before we got kicked out and had to spend the night at the airport - so we were already dealing with trauma regarding that.
Things were going well for the first bit or so, until Gabe started talking about Attack on Titan - right in front of my boyfriend (who is Korean). My boyfriend begun explaining how attack on titan was extremely triggering and how he didn't want to hear about it again. Gabe immediately ran into his bedroom and slammed the door and yelled, comparing my boyfriend to his own abusive parents who did not let him like things. (This guy was 26).
Moving on, eventually they seemed to "forget" about that outburst and life went on almost normally. Except for everything that Gabe would say as he got more comfortable around us, was a red flag.
-Called himself a "lesbian" (he's a trans man) because he wore a skirt
-Made fun of people at work, for being fat
-Would almost brag about his brother having an Asian fetish (and a Korean girlfriend) again in front of my partner. (who he would make Asian characters for - just so his brother would be horny)
-would always say he's 100% Mexican even though Mexican is not a race, and he would always say it in relation to me and my partner talking about being mixed race
-white mexican but kept saying he was reclaiming native tribes but had no idea which tribe he was
-would call teenagers who bothered him racial slurs.
-Alexa was completely grossed out by indigenous food and cuts of meat that were less likely to see in a Target, which made us feel weirdly unsafe due to that racist judgmentalness
-Claimed to hate white people, but had nothing of substance to bring to conversations about race, or culture.... or... even racism????
-Alexa only cared about Anti-indigenous racism
-had a complete co-dependency problem with his partner Alexa. if gabe texted them at work and alexa who worked from home didn't answer right away gabe would have a panic attack. also, times that alexa went into target to get something and gabe couldn't be away from them for more than twenty minutes. very unhealthy dynamic to be around
As you can see, these people alone were already hell to live with. Also my partner and I both have physical disabilities and many mental illness. We were constantly cleaning the house, including taking out the piles of trash that would accumulate in the living room (that was never ours), the bathroom trash, wash the dishes AND vacuum the carpeted floors.
I asked before for a chore chart, and they said they just do the chores in a big burst on Sunday. Many Sundays I would wake up before them and take out the trash, clean the ENTIRE kitchen, vacuum the floors and then expect them to do the rest. They would wake up and then proceed to not do their part. In fact making a bigger mess.
Then eventually they made a document stating Kitchen rules with the addendum that people could be "kicked out of the kitchen." because apparently they weren't happy with the way I cleaned.
We had trouble getting jobs, but we were consistently paying rent. That's the important thing. We cleaned, and we paid rent, since they were constantly complaining about how their ex roommates didn't do that, so we wanted to make sure we stayed in their good graces. The reason I couldn't get a job was California sucks if you don't have matching documents. Since I'm trans my passport and my ssn don't match, so I would get hired but then immediately when they tried to process my i-9s they would just unhire me. That happened three times. They still treated us with contempt, despite the fact we were still paying rent.
Alexa opened up to us about how they were homeless before. If this was true they had absolutely no empathy for homeless people going forward - since they talked in fake a corporate manner 24/7. They also lived beyond their means and were buying anime figures instead of groceries or furniture (or... vet bills).
One time someone was sitting on the stairs of the apartment complex (we lived on the second floor) and they were jittery and paranoid and wanted to call security (who did in fact work with the cops). The area we lived in a luxury apartment complex, and was not even in a "rough" area. The place we had been living before was more akin to "rough" so we could not understand why they were so paranoid.
That aside, there were times that I wasn't sleeping well and Gabe would go, I'm depressed can we play Jackbox, and me, not really wanting to would agree because it seems like the right thing to do.
The time when I was in my yearly mourning period and asked if they wanted to play Jackbox, they did not reciprocate and in fact ignored me.
They lived a block away from a Target, but preferred to just order from Amazon (even during strikes and boycotts).
We would find furniture in the trash, like chairs a table ect and they would act all disgusted even though we cleaned it. It's the classism. They also were incredibly wasteful and threw out a cat tree (well, it was taking up the entire deck) because a cat puked on it once.
Anyways, they would also unconsensually talk about their trauma either by their parents or by their ex roommate, and it made us incredibly uncomfortable, but we tried to stay supportive since it seemed like they needed the help at the time (all the time).
They seemed to neglect their cat Oliver, who was very young but had to get all his teeth pulled out and then he was usually locked out of their bedroom so they didn't play with him OR clean his litter boxes. They spoiled their other cat, Hanzo way too much, who was a mean cat, but Oliver was mad at them so he peed on their electrical wires in their room.
On that note, Alexa got really jealous of us because Oliver would sleep in our room at night. And they were going to pawn him off to us, people they just met. They got so jealous they bought a dog - for one day because Hanzo stressed her out and they got rid of her. The entire time they were apologizing to us, like, we don't give a fuck we aren't a part of your family.
Things got really bad though when my partner heard them talking about wanting to suck off the characters from AOT - which totally undermined the conversation. Alexa typed out a long paragraph in their corporate voice about how they are adults allowed to consume media in their own bedrooms - as if consuming Nazi propaganda can be consumed critically and also a person who is harmed by that media speaking up about how that media is bad should be listened to.
Anyways so then the next day or so there was a long message about how we don't clean and are dirty and how they don't feel safe in their own house anymore because of the toxic environment WE put them in. Their anxiety just wanted them to consume a hateful media guiltfree. They gave us 30 days, but we were out in 4.
To push things worse, they told us they had a guest that was coming over that Monday so we had to clear out the living room and we ended up kicking ass with packing and getting out by that day.
They gaslit us so much about what actually happened. "We tried to help, you" "Don't overwork yourselves." and chalked it all up to us reacting to anime, when 1) from the beginning they said they hated weebs (when... they are?) and 2) it was how THEY reacted to what was said. Not understanding the hateful implications of kicking out a Korean during a time that Anti-Asian hate crimes were rampant in the Bay Area over a piece of media made by a Japanese person who hated Koreans and identifies as a Zaitokukai, who are Japanese far-right ethnonationalists on par with the Proud Boys (and the media alone was anti-Semitic)
Alexa and Gabe have also emailed my partner absolute hateful messages such as "your people will die off long before you have the chance to scalp anyone" and "you will never be a man." Which is coming from a supposed indigenous person who identified as two-spirit. Why so anti-indigenous and transphobic, then?
Alexa has created strawman tumblr accounts pretending to be Korean to contact my boyfriend about the anime that he likes, which deals with Imperial Japan in a more nuanced way.
Alexa was put off by my boyfriend using the J slur to refer to racist Japanese people when he is Korean and is justified in punching up towards his oppressors, and then later on accused him of being racist for using said slur even though its a term fully within his jurisdiction. They also tried to implicate me in having said that as well, however I have not said it at any point in time digitally or not. When my boyfriend asked for proof via a screenshot, he was blocked immediately.
Additionally, before this event, had dmed my partner's cohost and called it a retard as well as trying to accuse his system of faking and stealing gifts that were given To him. They continued to try and justify slinging that slur because they said they were dyslexic, when that's 1. not how reclaiming the R slur works, and 2. its still a slur with a violent history. To add one more addendum, Alexa also fake-claimed schizophrenia on twitter when called out due to their hypocrisy regarding one of those extremely ableist Shyamalan movies and acting as if they themself were schizophrenic and that "this representation hurt people like [them]" when in reality they themself were scared of the schizophrenic people they kicked out.
Alexa has posted before on many platforms that they want us dead, despite the fact that they were the ones who enacted all of this violence in the first place. It's incredibly inappropriate to wish your victims dead.
In the most recent replies to the post on twitter bringing this to their attention, Alexa misgendered me CONSTANTLY calling me a Girlfriend even though i didn't identify as a bisexual woman until recently. This proves that they have seen me as a woman while living with them, and that they feel like they can misgender trans people they don't like.
Even though they have deactivated their twitter accounts, but the fact that alt-right white supremacists are allowed to continue to platform themselves and stave off of accountability is disgusting.
