DCLA QUESTION OF THE WEEK!
There's SO MANY pride-related asks I've been DYING to ask, so expect a lot of them now in june! <3
The first one will be a little of a hypothethical scenario: I know everyone has different sexuality headcanons, BUT, in this hypothetical situation... if the different characters came out as queer, how do you think their parents would react?
This can be especially fun with the characters we don't know the homelives of, cause I imagine a lot of you have different headcanons about that.
ā¢So for Luna, i think Miguel and Mónica would be a little confused because they have never heard of being panromantic before (i hc luna is asexual and panromantic) But once Luna explains it, they are so supportive and they do research to try and understand better
ā¢When Simón came out as bi, his mom was immediately supportive. He was scared of telling his abuela because of how many homophobic old people heās seen, but when he does tell her she is a little confused but tries her best to be supportive, and once sheās done some research she is very supportive too. ( this is based on my Ćlvarez family OCās hehe)
ā¢When Nina comes out as bi, Ricardo is immediately supportive. Ana struggles in the beginning BUT thats only because of her own internalized homophobia since Ana herself is a comphet lesbian. Ana will come around though and be supportive<3
ā¢Ćmbar never comes out to Sharon because she knows that Sharon wonāt like it. And sheās probably right not to tell Sharon
ā¢Jim and Yamās parents all knew already. They clocked them before Jim and Yam even knew themselves, but they all try to act surprised. Jim believes their surprise but Yam can tell they knew already. (I headcanon that Jim and Yamās parents are also rlly close friendgroup)
ā¢When Matteo came out, his dad didnāt support and he ran away to live with Gastón for a while until his dad eventually came around. But he accepted, not supportive. Until Matteo brings Ramiro home one day and his dad finally sees how happy Matteo is with Ramiro.
ā¢Emiliaās parents didnāt support which is part of the reason why she moved to Argentina. She wanted to get away from them. Once she and Ćmbar get together, she basically gets adopted by Mónica and Miguel just like Ćmbar
ā¢When Violetta comes out to GermĆ”n he doesnāt know what to do. He just goes to his office without saying anything and it makes Violetta sad. She talks to Angie about it (bc ofc Angie knew since the first day Vilu realized) and then Angie goes to talk some sense into GermĆ”n who reluctantly accepts. But again here, he changes his mind to supportive when he eventually sees how happy Vilu is with Fran (kind of like how he changed his mind with Vilu and music in s1 finale)
ā¢Maxi came out as trans at a really young age and luckily his parents were supportive and let him start his transition at the age of 13
ā¢Ludmilaās mom was not supportive of her being a lesbian. I think Ludmila ends up spending most of her time at Natyās because of this
ā¢Natyās parents were very surprised but they come around and will be supportive. Lena had clocked it already and supports
ā¢I think when Francesca came out, she told Luca first out of her family members and he was supportive and helped her tell their parents. They were also confused but they do come around and will be supportive. When Fran brings Vilu home they all adore her immediately
ā¢I think León was in the same situation as SimónšāāļøBut instead of his abuela, itās his dad who heās more scared to tell but he does end up being supportive after his mom helps his dad research
