I’m feeling so bored at work this week! It’s been slow and I finish my work way too fast. I went to Starbucks on my break and bought two more books at Target. All I want to do is go home and read and also play with my kitten.

I’m fostering a kitten right now and she is so cute. She’s a 7 week old gray tabby and she is so small! We are calling her Mimi. I think we are going to keep her. ❤️

I want to create more items for my Etsy shop but I’m severely lacking in motivation. I’ve only had two sales since July and I feel dejected. I know small business don’t bloom over night, it takes a lot of work to become like the stationary and journal shops I see on Instagram and TikTok. I’m wondering if I’m catering toward the wrong audience or if it’s what I’m making is too niche.

All I want to do is go home and read! Why is work so long. 8 hours a day is too much. At least I got to draw today ✍🏻

Today I learned that life will be filled with disappointments and even when you think the timing is right, something will come along to upend your plans. I’m trying to stay positive but I wish things could be different. I see so many people living the life I think I should be living and it makes me so sad. I wish I would just be content with what I have. I will keep trying to. ✨☕️

If I could, I would make journaling my career, but my little Etsy shop is struggle enough. I would love to open up a brick and mortar in my home town and sell local artist’s stationary and stickers. And it would also be a cafe and a library and there would be cats!

My current desk set-up along with my most recent journal spread. I love the cute little mushroom candles I found at Michael’s Craft Store. They really add to the fall vibe I was going for in my September monthly spread.

I’m back in Houston today, traveling for work. It’s my third time being here this year and I can honestly say I am sick of this place! I want to be home journaling😔 But it’s only for a week and then I can relax this weekend. I was able to read a bit on the plane ride and I am almost finished with The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N.K Jemisin. I plan on finishing it tonight or tomorrow morning📚✨

I’m working from home today! Yay! Here is a spread I made about a week ago. I did something new which was adding a pocket! I’ve never done that before decided to give it a try and I love it❤️ I also used stickers from a vintage ephemera sticker booklet I purchased from Temu. I’m literally obsessed with them.

On another note, I have therapy today and I’m worried about talking to my therapist. I told her during our last session (about a month ago) that I was doing so much better. But then right after that I plummeted in my mental health and I’m struggling so badly right now with work and anxiety. Does anyone else get anxious about their job? Or going to work in general? I swear I’m doing everything I can to mitigate it but it’s just not enough. Ugh!

I’m currently at work bored out of my mind. I don’t have any meetings or projects right now so I am just waiting for lunch to roll around. I do marketing for a small-medium business and it can be a lot of work sometimes. I am relieved that I have some time to myself today. It’s times like these that I wish I could pull out my journal or book and get cozy at my desk. Anyway here are some photos from my entry from last night’s journal session.
