Going for my 3rd Taylor Swift tour, after being a fan of 11 years
We (me and my friend Sya) are READY FOR THE REPUTATION STADIUM TOUR IN TOKYO ON 20 NOVEMBER 2018
I live in Malaysia, I grew up in East Malaysia (Sarawak), not having any chances of seeing @taylorswift live for her first 3 tours. Fortunately for me, I got to see her live for the first time at the Red Tour in Kuala Lumpur and the second time at the 1989 Tour in Singapore.
Unfortunately for many, Taylor isn’t going to be travelling to Southeast Asia for this tour, but she will be stopping by Tokyo. Fortunately for me, I have a colleague/friend who is TOTALLY into Japan and Reputation, so she volunteered to join me in Tokyo. She and many others have raved about Tokyo, and I’ve travelled to over 30 countries in my lifetime yet have never been to Tokyo. It took Taylor Alison Swift to get my ass to actually decide to buy a ticket to fly there. As a matter of fact, my friend and I will be flying straight to Tokyo from another destination we’ll be stationed at for 3 weeks for work! Dedication!!
I will never proclaim to be the best or most fanatic Swiftie, I have never camped outside her apartment in New York (despite travelling to NYC twice and staying in Tribeca itself… Although I did wait at the exit during the 1989 world tour but, hey! YOLO! LOL), I have never dressed up like a furry from the WANEGBT MV, nor was I the most active on my fan accounts (past or present)… HOWEVER, I STAN THIS WOMAN NAMED TAYLOR ALISON SWIFT because her words, HER WORDS, HER MUSIC, HER WORK ETHIC, HER KINDNESS resonates with my being. Anyone in my life, those whom I love (and not love at all.LOL) know how much I love Taylor. Some have kind of made fun of me for it, most have gotten used to it. 😎😎 During my first year at my first job (which is my current job), I had Taylor swift photos and quotes all over my desk.. it just isn’t a secret. 💙💙💙
“Picture to Burn” was there for me when I was going through the “I hate my ex” phase (coincidentally enough he did drive a stupid pick up truck). “Tied together with a smile” resonated with me when I was going through my struggling skinniest times. “mine” reminds me of the times my fiance and I were still in college and spent time at the beach, “sitting by the water”. “Never grow up” made me tear up when I was staring out my apartment window during college, away from home and my family. The whole Speak Now album kept me company EVERYDAY after classes in college, when I didn’t feel like being out with anyone and felt like just crawling up in bed. “Shake it off” was my anthem after I found out someone tried to discredit me at work. “call it what you want” still kind of makes me choke up when I think of how my fiance and I will spend our lives together. Her quotes about working hard have motivated me to focus on the work despite not knowing what I wanted to do just 5 years ago, today, I’m doing pretty well 😉 her KINDNESS has inspired me to try to give everyone a chance.
There are so many other songs and examples I’ve not gotten into purely because I don’t want this post to be labelled TLDR, but in short: Taylor has played a big role in my life, despite me not having a huge Swiftie Tumblr with 1937839292093738 followers… She almost feels like a friend. (Does that sound creepy? Yes ? No? I don’t care really. Lol)
So while I have never ever ever doubted that I can have THE BEST TIME at any of @taylorswift ’s tours without being invited to a M&G, I really hope this will be it. I’d … Uh… Like to move on from wax figures… Plus, @taylornation kind of owes me a photo they promised to upload on Taylor connect during the red tour, so I’ll take an M&G as compensation LOL . I kid… No, I don’t kid..

Geared up for the REPUTATION TOUR. I’ve been watching everyone’s videos on Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and on Tumblr… Patiently waiting for my turn. .
*Google calendar checked for 20 November 2018* @taylorswift we’ll be screaming from our floor seats!!
