Life is too much of an occurrence to settle for mediocrity. Get rid of the things that don’t allow you to thrive; and make room for the people, things and places that wholeheartedly do.
That friend you care about but no longer relate to? distance, you’ll find people who do. That dress you like but never wear? Get rid of it, only buy what you love and will use.
The hometown security blanket that makes you feel anxious? leave, home will always be home. The habits you despise, change them, you deserve it. Be who you want to be, do what you want to do, and spend life with the people you want to spend it with. You owe nothing to this world except the simple respect of living authentically while you’re able and sharing the pure joy of it. Courage and fearlessness come in all shapes and sizes, like allowing yourself to grow and be patient with yourself while you do so, don’t let the fear of starting overwhelm you. Get busy living and revel in it, it’s the best decision you’ll ever make.
I got this in sociology today. Sorry for the crappy quality, but I just really love it.
“A secret to happiness is letting every situation be what it is instead of what you think it should be, and then making the best of it.”

“Perhaps everything terrible is, in its deepest essence, something that needs our love.”
— Rainer Maria Rilke, Letter to a Young Poet
I'm scared I'm going to spend the rest of my life in a state of yearning, regardless of where I am.
— Melina Marchetta, The Piper's Son
