This concept revolves around the fact that monster doesn’t instantly die when they lose all their health
sans, being the rule breaker with new knowledge, abuses that fact to give one last attack in phase 2 (something like COTV’s Panic Attack). He also loses his patience by this point
In the last second, before sans actually dies, Gaster slows down the time to the point where sans can’t even move a muscle. Because of that, Gaster takes over and puppets sans’s body instead in Phase 3
I was originally going to make this 5 drawings per post, but Tumblr only allows 10 images per post, and I need at least 2 images per explanation. Shame
So, firstly. Here’s my sona
There’s two versions since, originally, the human one was going to be used sparingly, and the puppet one was my main. But I’ve grown more attached to the human one, so the puppet one is gonna be the one used sparingly

For this one, insertdisc5’s post was really helpful in understanding how I should approach this design.
Just like most Flavor Foley design (and by most, I mean Spoken For), Human!Miki’s design comes from both Miki’s older and newer design. I thought I could honor this by using both my human(guys) and puppet version.
Now, you might notice something odd with this design. Where’s the robot? Why is he a puppet???
That’s because I wanted to save the fully robot part for Queen of Venus. I feel like that song is more associated with machines, whereas Human is can be connected to a questionably non-living thing wanting to be human. (Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong here)
With that in mind, I changed the concept to have him be a puppet instead. The wind-up key was a last second addition, mostly because of “power on” at the start. Don’t ask how the two can be combined. I don’t know
In insertdisc5’s breakdown, there’s many requests by the Flavor Foley teams that I also wanted to use here. The text is already in the image, but to quote it again

With that, and the vibe sketch rice gave, I started drawing the guy
The art style is based off the first part, so that's why there's some odd lines on the head. I also wanted to keep the fluffy feel, so most of the lines are circular. The robot lines/joints are replaced with stitches, and the wires are replaced with cotton. The jacket is a replacement of the sweater, and the eyes are instead put to the chest. The circles on the hands are meant to be where each string would take place. The legs are just- they're just- they're taken from the original design. And the star is replaced by a string.
-炜WARD ROMANCE
This one's probably the most interesting one. khee chuu's breakdown of the MV was really helpful in making me understand and giving me ideas
The interesting thing about this one is that I didn't quite follow what they did for the final design. I saw the Jiangshi(zombie) concept, looked at my name, and knew it was the thing I wanted to base this design off of
But there was also a lot of helpful notes in the video. And a lot that I ignored. Like the hearts scattered throughout the entire design. There is ONE HEART on mine
The main thing I was trying to figure out was how to cover up the left(right) eye, since I feel like the bandage wouldn't fit the whole design. While having the paper cover up the eye might be cheap, I feel like it's a fitting option. Also, yes, the eye is hollow
After that, I got to work. The main thing I knew was that I didn't want the robe to cover up the hand, since that's where my gloves are at. There's stitches to complete the undead look. The slightly red eye since spooky scary woah. The Chinese letters says "Heartbeat" (which I forgot my reasons for). The design is darker because, whilst unintentional, the MV's design was "like if Feng Yi was switched to dark mode.
The robe itself is red because of my clothesss. And there's yellow because, uhhh, I thought it looked cool. I tried to keep a color palette of Yellow-red-purple. I don't think the purple quite worked blending in though
-BUTCHER VANITY
I'm gonna be honest, there's not much to say here. BV!Yi Xi's design change mainly boils down to the color changes
So all I did was. Red.
I was really luck I already have fingerless gloves for this one (even if it would be useless in an actual kitchen). I was also lucky since my original design already have a lot of red
Also, the pupil is because I really wanted to keep the colored pupil feel.

This one was. Hard.
There's so many things I had to consider both from OG!Teto -> SF!Teto, and also the idol industry in general
For SF!Teto, I wanted to figure out which part of her design is from the original and which part was from the idol outfit. This ended up being not as useful as I thought, because
For the idol industry part, I researched a lot, and came across a lot. Number 1. Did you know that K-Pop idols and Japanese idols are very different. Their outfit especially. If I look up idols, the main one that showed up was K-pop's, which didn't fit Spoken For. So half of the research I did was useless.
Number 2. Did you know that most idol outfits are mostly based on the brand that sponsors them, and less so on the idol's own style. The latter is still kept in mind, but not as much.
Number 3. Did you know that MALE and FEMALE idol outfits are VERY different. The female idols are mostly cute and kawaii, whilst the male idols are moreso cool and all that.
Number 3 was the part that especially stumped me. Eventually though, I used Number 2 as the base of the outfit. This is probably the only time I'll get this close to having my Sona cosplay the MV
Another problem I had with this is that, holy moly there's so little human character with the same style in Rhythm Heaven. Even less so for male characters (are there even any?). Luckily though, 星空★lone has a lot of drawings of different characters with the same style, so that was very helpful. (Mainly on the bottom half)
So, getting to the design, I first tried to figure out what style the brand for the show is. Of course, I stuck with the pink colors, but I shifted it closer to purple since that's my color. There's also the star on the shirt and and the heart mic (which presumably Is part of the brand, considering the stage and all)
After that, I took most of the design from SF!Teto's outfit, whilst trying anything to subtly fit my own design. The white lines are replacements of the cuffs and hem of my sweater. The left(right) eye is closed, and there's a little extra make up on that side since an idol has to be in prime condition. They can't show an injured eye. The socks are basically taken from SF!Teto's design.
Originally, the bowtie on the head wasn't there, since I thought that was just part of Teto's main design (it probably is, from the SynthV design), but the changing room showed Teto without it, so it's probably part of her idol outfit. So I took that, since the design looked pretty empty beforehand
This is Caelum Stella. Constellation artist based on, well, constellations.

She’s an artist who paints constellations by placing dots in the air and connecting them together. These constellations tend to have a function, but those function are connected to the meaning of said constellations. For example, an Andromeda can immobilize you, connecting to how Andromeda(from the myth) was chained as sacrifice.
She usually lives in her own world, painting constellations and leaving them there. Though, whenever someone touches them, she’ll know and she’ll appear to play with them. And she really likes playing. Creating intricate puzzles and challenges for said person to do.
But beware. She really likes playing, and the only way to escape her is to exhaust her. Or just defeat her in combat if you’re really that strong (she has 88 different types of attack. Beware)
These are Cules. Love striking creatures based on cupid. Their separate names are C[Number] (like C1, C2 and C3)

A pack(they always go together) of creatures with the sole aim of connecting people’s hearts together. Once two people (or more) are connected, they can’t go too far(like 10ft) from each other, and anything one person feel is gradually felt by the other person, increasing by half with every string (50%, 75%, 87.5%, and so on). And by anything, I mean anything.
The center of the strings are shaped as a heart for Cules and a dot for everything else. A Cule's heart are a part of their body, but the strings are not, so they have to be formed themself. The heart can also appear in any part of the body, as long as it's visible.
You can either break the string by force (its strength are dependent on the person’s relationship, but they’re usually *really* strong) or by killing the creature. Fortunately, they’re always out in the open, so it’s really easy to find them, with their weak spot being the heart.
Also the inside of their face is completely hollow
