They ended it with Wind
appropriate I think. Nice touch.
I actually thought the quote at the end of the book (not Loial's) was the proper ending. That sounded appropriately awesome. Truly awesome.
Not just "hey, we need light and dark, gee, and we get to choose. hyuckhyuck"
It's like they went hipster with the ending, trying to be cool by being 'subtle' or something.
After 14 books, there is absolutely no reason to be subtle. The moment with Callandor was good. But Moiraine and Nynaeve didn't actually do anything. So many people built up so many ways and it was all a truncated mess of wasting paper on descriptions of clothing. Bleh.
I'll remember Lan, Perrin, Egwene and Nynaeve. Secondarily; Elayne, Moiraine, Rand and Mat. I'll have to jump with a memory of "Oh yeah!" To remember anyone else, it's already what I do with the rest of them.
