In the afternoon :: Sou&Petra
“Bright colours and sparkles definitely keep kids happy, I mean, look at my hands!”
Wiggling her fingers again with a chuckle, though thankful that she had managed to get most of the paint and glitter removed from her skin before leaving work. It had been one of their more artistic days today in between the math and english lessons.
“Tomorrow will be fine! I can pick them up about the same time? Unless you want me to come by a bit later, I really don’t mind either way. And hopefully i’ll be less glittery, haha.”
Petra would often get a tad conscious after having an art day; worried she would be trailing glitter everywhere and making a mess of other people’s homes or workspaces. Glitter was a nightmare to remove after all. Still, Sousuke seemed like a really nice person and she was glad she actually stopped by the bakery for once.
“Thank you so much for agreeing! The kids will love them!”
“Hey, it’s no problem. I mean, I should be thanking you for your custom, not the other way round.” He actually laughed, okay, she was sweet, this one. Real sweet. He could see why she got on so well working with kids. They had to love her. She was almost motherly in a sense, though not so much in her appearance. The glitter still amused him, enough that he held a finger up and vanished away from the counter for just a moment, returning with one of the cupcakes he had mentioned previously, and a small white shaker.
Setting the cupcake down on a napkin, he carefully shook the shaker a couple of times, decorating the pale icing with a generous layer of vividly golden glitter. His expression was somewhere between amused and contented.
“There we go, nothing like glitter to go with your glitter, right? I did say if you ordered something I’d throw one is, so there you go, decorated especially to match your eyes and add a little more sparkle to your day, not that I think you really need any extra, huh? Bet the kids had a whale of time though.” He didn’t mind, it would mostly pick up with the vaccuum later that day, if she had shed any, and it wasn’t like there weren’t usually crumbs and such on the floor at the end of the day. They just made sure it was all clean, spotlessly so, before the next day started.
“This sort of time tomorrow will be just fine. I’ll have them finished by the end of the morning anyway I should think. It will be a fun order to fill, cupcakes are always enjoyable.”
