Amelia very rarely went to cafes; they pretty much never had the amount of food that she usually scarfed down. A sudden craving for hot chocolate in the middle of the blazing Summer heat had her making way to one regardless.
She sat in a small, neatly-decorated and New Age inspired cafe, tasted the delicious concoction with a happy hum before having to put it down immediately.
But there was something wrong.
She looked down at the cup, marshmallows floating freely as they should be but upon closer inspection (which consisted of sticking her nose in it), she realized what was truly wrong. Being raised on a farm, she knew exactly what the smell was.
Soy milk.
She pushed the cup away to the edge of her table and crossed her arms.
"I DEMAND 100% GOOD OLâ AMERICAN NATURAL FARM-MADE MILK FOR MY HOT CHOCOLATE! IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR?" She yelled out into the establishment, before curling up with her face between her knees. "Pssht- Wouldnât even mind soy milk if they told me it was it; this false advertisement and bad um, marketing or something. Papa Jones would be so disappointed in this hot chocolate."
Grace had been sitting the cafe. Again, eurgh, she was trying coffee. It wasn't as good, it seems, but Toris' cafe had closed when he was called back for family reasons.
So when the outburst came from the other side, she instantly recognised the voice. Looking back, she saw exactly who she expected to see. Blonde hair, childish position...
She sighed and stood up, walking over to Amelia, able to hear the last of her little blurt.
"I'm sure he would be, Amelia. But then again, do you think he'd forgive you if you drank it?"
