Dear Heeseung,
I don’t know how to start this letter knowing this might never reach you, but today’s news feels unreal. Never in a million years would I have imagined this happening. For so many engines ENHYPEN was never just a kpop group it was a place of comfort, happiness,motivation and what not and you were such a big part of it.
THANK YOU for every moment of your life you dedicated to the group and to us engenes as a part of ENHYPEN. Thank you for every stage, every performance, every speech, thank you for debuting with enhypen, for smiling for us even when things were hard for you. Even though us engenes only ever knew you through the screen, we saw your passion and your drive for music. Your voice carried so many emotions. Sometimes it comforted us when we were tired, sometimes it made us feel stronger, and sometimes it simply made us happy on days when we needed it the most. You probably don’t even realize how many people you helped just by being yourself.
Watching you grow into such a fine young man since your trainee and i-land days has been something so special for us. I know it must have been hard seeing your fellow trainees debut,while you were left behind, but you made it, and I am so proud of you for never giving up even when things got hard. And then watching you become the eldest of enhypen, someone who others can rely on, the backbone of the group makes me so happy. It hurts to imagine ENHYPEN without you. It hurts knowing that a chapter has ended. But even though you’re leaving, the time you spent with the group and with fans will never disappear. The songs will still play. The performances will still make us smile. And the memories will still live in our hearts.
More than anything else my biggest hope and wish is for you to be happy. And that the path ahead of you offers nothing but success and happiness for you. Another one of my biggest wishes is for you to live your life to the fullest. Even though the news has hurt us and made us cry buckets, we are not mad at you, no we could never be mad at you, even though it hurts i respect your decision and i will continue to support you as a solo artist. I hope you know how loved you are. Even if the stage changes, even if the path ahead looks different, there are so many people who will continue cheering for you wherever you go. Your journey doesn’t end here—it’s just turning into a new chapter, and I truly believe that whatever you do next, you will shine in your own way.
I hope this decision was completely yours and not influenced by the company. And if it was then FUCK the company, I WILL BURN THEM DOWN.
And even though this goodbye is difficult, it isn’t the end of our support. Wherever life takes you next, we’ll still be here wishing you happiness, success, and peace.
Thank you for the years you spent with us. Thank you for the music, the laughter, the tears, and the memories we’ll carry forever. No matter where you go, we will still be here, cheering for you.
And no matter what happens, a part of ENGENE’s heart will always belong to you and Enhypen will always be 7.
