Di Matteo is fluent in German (and 5 other languages) - We should really stop questioning our new coach like we did with Keller and give him some time because otherwise things will never get better and we'll end up like Hamburg...
It’s just a massive shock tbh. Keller was treated badly by the press (and some fans) right from the start and I don’t think he deserved this.
It's true, Keller was a whipping boy. He was treated mercilessly by a significant number of fans, and the media rarely took him seriously. It's unfortunate that he was forced out, especially so soon after a derby win. It smells funny.
But looking forward, I can promise you that Di Matteo will, at least, bring the same passion that Keller had. Speaking as someone who watched nearly every game he managed while he was at Chelsea, I can confidently say that he's a fantastic man-manager. His attitude is excellent, he's very open and brotherly with players, and he was a very positive figure in the dressing room.
Strange and a little disappointing to see Keller go, but I'm looking forward to seeing how Robbie gets on at Schalke.
