This is his year.
Dear PEQUEĂO Y GORDO here will be turning seven this year. I was wondering how theyâre doing. Are they still gordo? Less pequeño?
From quick research I know that this was one of three sumatran tiger cubs born at the Chester Zoo in 2015, so this is either Jaya, Topan or their sister Kasarna. If it is Kasarna I found an update pic from her zooâs Twitter from when she turned four! (The boys seem to have been moved elsewhere?)
Not so pequeño anymore, (but still an hint of gordo imo) Happy tiger year!
I found a more recent one of her from last year (also from the Chester Zooâs Twitter)
EL TIGRE ES GORDO Y ENOJADO, Y ELLA ES GRANDE
she is beauty
she is grace
she is gonna eat your face
this has been done already right? would be a shame considering I just spent the last 15 minutes on it lol
Oh look, a dumb meme I made back in the day-- use it, or donât.Â

He is, however, perfectly willing to fuck with time and reality.
And also steal your infants.
He didnât steal anything. She literally asked him to take the baby. Donât make him the bad guy just because she was a shitty sister.
I think you are severely misinformed as to how baby ownership works.
It was not her baby to give.
David Bowie is unquestionably the villain.
Which do you think existed first, modern custody legislature, or the goblin king?Â
The girl was entrusted by her parents with the care and custody of the child. By the laws governing the goblin king and his transactions, the girl was the current rightful owner of the child and made a deal with the king to take the child. Perhaps youâre not familiar with english folklore. Fae have rules, theyâre tricksters, they can be sneaky, but they never break the rules.
Slamminâ it down in the Labyrinth fandom tonight, kids.
What do you think existed first, the goblin king, or the desperate need to make girls into villains?
Sarah (which is the girlâs name, by the way) said something a bit mean-spirited after her father and stepmother dumped responsibility for her baby brother on her without asking her first. By the laws governing the goblin king and his transactions, the goblin king didnât have to do shit; heâs the fucking king, and he took Toby out of pure spite, a desire to toy with her. Perhaps youâre not familiar with English folklore and its obsession with pretending women are always to blame. Fae have rules, theyâre tricksters, they can be sneaky - and just because they never break the rules doesnât mean that theyâre not bad guys.
#âjust because she was a shitty sisterâ #if you remember she TORE APART A KINGDOM to get her baby brother back #after knowing she could be rid of him forever #she said something mildly thoughtless and then crawled through bogs and befriended monsters #in order to bring her brother home #because she loved him and was brave and resourceful and kind #and because she did the right thing every time #so fuck you and your requirements for sainthood when it comes to girls #âshe said something kind of mean once and was punished by an all powerful figure for shits and gigglesâ #but DONâT YOU DARE MAKE HIM THE BAD GUY!!!!!!!â
What is incredible here is how overt the movie makes it that Jareth is NOTHING but the villain in this story
Oh sure he is 110% convinced he is a good guy, and a romantic figure and in love with her - but note even in his plea for her to stop fighting and be his queen he literally tells her that if she does so sheâll have to obey his every order and follow his every whim for all time.Â
Jareth doesnât actually give a rats ass about Sarah, if he did he wouldnât be working so hard to make her life miserable, he is in love with the IDEA of being in love with her, and could care less about her as a person.
There is a reason Sarah is able to defeat him by telling him âThrough dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the Goblin City to take back the child that you have stolen. For my will is as strong as yours, and my kingdom is as great. You have no power over me.â
Jareth is looking for someone who he can terrify into following his every whim. Someone who will buy into the idea that romance is a matter of the powerful king being âkindâ enough to ânoticeâ a normal girl, and then fuck with her. However the moment Sarah asserts that they are equals, that they are in a position of mutual power and he can not rule her⊠Jareth loses all interest in her, because what he was looking for was not romance or following her whims, but her fear and obedience (which he literally says to her and I quote: âI ask for so little. Just fear me. Love me. Do as I ask, and I shall be your slave.â Jareth has no fucking clue what the fuck love is, he honestly believes love is a woman being terrified of a man and doing whatever he asks of her.).Â
In short Labyrinth is fully and truly NOT a tale that presents a powerful supernatural man taking interest in a young human girl as romantic, instead it treats that as a horrible nightmare, but one that can be overcome by asserting your own authority and remembering that no matter what YOU are just as, if not more powerful than that glam rock fae king could ever be.
As to the point of the implicit contract made between Jareth and Sarah when she invites the Goblin King to take the baby, it does not matter whose law is older. In fact, the exact opposite is true - newer law supersedes older law. That is how laws work. Sarah, being a minor herself, did not have the ability to enter into a legally binding contract. In addition, she did not have any authority to assign ownership of a baby, being only temporarily responsible for the childâs well-being and not authorized to subcontract that responsibility. In addition, you have to take into account where this contract was made; specifically in the house owned by Sarahâs parents, presumably somewhere in the United States (judging by Sarahâs accent and mentions of high school drama class) where Jareth is not a figure with any governmental or legal authority. The argument may be made that by speaking words that create a passage between Sarahâs house and Jarethâs realm, that the interstitial space would act as some sort of embassy - except that the act of speaking the unenforceable and illegal contract predates the existence of any interstitial space so it is irrefutable that Jarethâs attempt to enforce any such contract has no standing in any court of law. Ironically, Sarahâs parents cannot have a civil suit brought against Jareth, via the precedent of Mayo v. Satan and his staff (Pennsylvania, 1971) which states that service of papers could not be brought against the Devil due to inaccessibility. Technically you canât sue the Goblin King if you canât get a process server to him. Which would be the ABSOLUTE BEST SEQUEL EVER.
so what Iâm getting from this is
1) some people have misunderstood the point of Labyrinth
and 2) someone tried to sue the Devil. In 1971 apparently.Â
the discourse has come for the sexuality-affirming david bowie classic labyrinth and iâm fucking deleting
@amusewithaview This seems right up your alleyâŠ
Labyrinth is a very thinly-veiled metaphor for a child molestor trying to groom a young girl and her pushing back. Like. The veil is transparent in places. It is so important - and it is plain as day who the villain is, unless you think âDavid Bowie hitting on a 13-year-old girlâ is more sympathetic than âa 13-year-old girl telling a dude with unfathomable power and aggressive interest to fuck off.â
oh damn I definitely forgot my life here and man what a time that was.
Very good
Almost TOO good
