aka. most the time in solo queue your teammates are too busy dps-ing and scatter all over the map screaming āI NEED HEALINGā but you canāt get to them cause you were left behind the enemy lineĀ
Guess who got play of the game hammering a turret? Anyways, nothing impressive, but I got the new Genji skin so I wanted to show off a littleĀ (*Ā“ā`*)
Recently, Blizzard announced season one of competitive Overwatch is coming to an end, on August 17th. There will be rewards, which is based off the highest rank a player had achieved during that season. So I thought,Ā āhey, I should probably grind up some rank so I can get the extra competitive pointsā.Ā
Biggest. Mistake. Ever.
Why? You may ask. The reason is because, I highly believe I got screwed during the placement matches. I participated, literally the day it was opened for the consoles. During that time, there was nothing but rage quitter, disconnect and or unbalanced matchmaking. My initial placement rank was at 43. Yes, forty fucking three, that is ridiculously low even for my standards. I am not an amazing player, but I can carry my own weight during a fight. In Destiny, there are times I carried the whole team. Having my rank placed at 43, which btw is actually lower than both my friendās initial rank ācause no one likes to play support, thatās like saying my K/D in Destiny is below 1.Ā
So I mostly solo queue and try my best to get out of thisĀ āELO hellā. What I noticed was that, in the 40s, no one likes to play support and yet they arenāt good at DPS or tanks either. Which means, unless you have a very good support, there is no way to win the game.Ā
I finally crawl my way out of 40s and into the 50sā¦ got to say, people in the 50s playing any of the heroes are like a result of a coin toss. They might be good at the hero or they might not. Expect, you have greater chances of getting the āmight notā. And yet they refuse to switch heroes, even though, the enemy team have a counter for that hero or heroes. Probably the reason why I couldnāt get higher than rank 53. Although, playing with friends does take a huge load off the carrying. I canāt stress enough to my friends on how much my trigger finger hurts after a matchā¦

There are times I get hate messages for, apparently killing them too muchā¦ Itās competitive play, what do you want from me? Should I reply,Ā āgot owned by a girl, winky faceā next time around? Donāt worry, I usually just block them, I donāt see the point arguing with someone that childish.Ā
Or apparently, I was accused of using a mouse and keyboard, lol. Although, they were actually very nice about it, added me as friend too. Ā
Then, there are others who was genuine on the question. Which is pretty awesome when someone actually believe you are a decent player. Though, I didnāt think my aim was that good though? Compare to some of the people I met in Destiny.
This is my experience playing Overwatch so far. I just wish season two is less stressfulā¦ and hopefully I wonāt get screw by the placement matches againā¦
