Merry Christmas everyone! Here’s Circles around the sun...
Jackson Boone - Moonbeam
A great psychedelic song by the Dutch band Pauw.
Warm Graves is a band from Leipzig that makes psychedelic music, or Sci-Fi-delic as they like to call it.
The GOASTT (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger) - Devil You Know
Sisters of your Sunshine vapor, with an untitled psychedelic song. Check it out!
According to his Bandcamp page Thriftworks is J.Atlas - producer / DJ - available for remixes, post-production audio, scoring, sound design, and location recording. That, and he made this cool psychedlic tune.
Here's a very nice psych out studio gig by Seattle's Motopony.
L.A. based Talk in Tongues recently released their debut single 'Still don't seem to care'. It's warm wah-wah pedally neo-psychedelia in the vein of Tame Impala.
Here's another psychedelic classical piece. Morton Feldman made this high light in 'indeterminate music' back in 1985. Check it out.
Yesterday I posted the psychedelic country song "Turtles All the Way Down" by Sturgill Simpson. After listening to the whole album Metamodern Sounds in Country Music, I'd like to bring you the most psychedelic song 'It Ain't All Flowers'.
In an interview with American Songwriter, Simpson says about the influences for this album were:
“A culmination of a few breakthroughs in modern physics, coupled with a few philosophical or theological texts or books I’ve read throughout the years, a couple personal experiences with some pretty non-recreational psychedelics, and the symbiotic relationship between them all.”
Psychedelic Country music! Yes it exists. Sturgill Simpson pushes the boundaries of the genre further into the astral plane.
Here are the amazing lyrics if you like to sing along:
I've seen Jesus play with flames in a lake of fire that I was standing in. Met the devil in Seattle and spent nine months inside the lions den. Met Buddha yet another time and he showed me a glowing light within. But I swear that God is there every time I glare in the eyes of my best friend. Says my son it's all been done and someday yer gonna wake up old and gray. So go and try to have some fun showing warmth to everyone. You meet and greet and cheat along the way.
There's a gateway in our mind that leads somewhere out there far beyond this plane. Where reptile aliens made of light cut you open and pull out all your pain. Tell me how you make illegal something that we all make in our brain. Some say you might go crazy but then again it might make you go sane.
Every time I take a look inside inside that old and fabled book. I'm blinded and reminded of the pain caused by some old man in the sky. Marijuana, LSD, psilocybin, and DMT they all changed the way I see. But love's the only thing that ever saved my life.
So don't waste your mind on nursery rhymes. Or fairy tales of blood and wine. It's turtles all the way down the line. So to each their own til' we go home. To other realms our souls must roam. To and through the myth that we all call space and time.
Entheogen Tunes is a year old today. Although it is a day to celebrate, it's also a day to contemplate the future. From this day on your necessary dose of psychedelic tunage won't be 'workdaily' so to speak, but more sporadic. Quality over quantity that is. Today I bring you a psychedelic number by High Skies called 'The World Forgotten'...
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - "Head On/Pill" (Live Clip)
