Briefly chatting to my best mate this morning via whatsapp about, chance, luck and free will. My favorite topics. He likes the scientific argument that none of us having a free will of our own at all. Here's a snippet of my instant thoughts to that interesting insight. "I think that could be a paradoxical truth.. Perhaps that we don't have free will because existence has no beginning and end. Time is not an actually reality. All that is, IS. Therefore the universe (divinity) knows ALL things and that's revealed in science, but the choices we make are still OURS. We were never created (past tense), we have always been evolving. Therefore are being "created" (present) in every single moment. The whole universe, including our personal psychological-universes have always been, but unfolds by our choices in the present. And our present choices are what defines the psychological universe that has always existed. A massive paradox indeed. So chance and luck are fun images for going with the flow of life as it comes. Being intentional to live life fully, but being passive in trusting that in the culmination of all things.. everything is already A-OK. Everything is already good and lovely. And this trust springs from the belief that the universe (or divinity), in ALL LUCK, is for us and not against us."
