That girl… is walking on her hair.
In theory, this should mean less than nothing to Kris. After all, they live in a house with goat monsters. They’re friends (friends?) with Susie. Their teacher is a dragon, albeit the most nervous one Kris has ever heard of. They’ve met Rouxls Kaard, even. Prehensile (purple) hair really shouldn’t be that impressive.
But… it looks… cool? Intriguing. Engaging. It has their attention, and they’ve been following her for a short distance now, waiting for her to slow so they can get a closer look. They don’t mean to be creepy- even as they think they should stop, though, the thought slips away. They only have room in their mind for the fascination.
Their palms itch, and they press them against their thighs hard.
Oh, they want to touch it. They can’t, of course. They won’t. But they want to.
When she slows, they can hear her talking into her phone. Their head tips, and the curiosity about what she’s saying takes up residence right next to their fascination with her hair. They edge closer, again, closer-
And of course, she turns around, for whatever reason, right at that moment, and they stumble back, eyes wide before they duck their head to shake their bangs into their face, peering through them at her. Their hands lift, quickly, defensive.
«Sorry.»

“Reminiscent of First Ones tech I’ve worked with, definitely beyond any of our modern technology. It is incredibly sophisticated, so much that I’m going to need fine tools to disassemble it properly! It seems to have a number of functions, incredibly lightweight for the processing power it must hold-- Ah!” As she turns, having let herself down to give her hair a break, she jumps backward at the sudden appearance of someone behind her. Huh. She’s usually the one surprising people like that.
She lifts purple-tinted goggles to look at the stranger properly. They’re taller than her, long hair, signing... “How remarkable. I can observe with my eyes that they aren’t using Etherian Sign Language, but I can understand them perfectly!” She says into her phone, eyes fixed on their hands with interest.
“Can you understand me?” She asks Kris. “My working theory is a universal translating system of some kind, but I had no idea it could apply to sign language as well!” With her hair hands, Entrapta signs back with the motions she knows rapidly, testing. «This is Etherian Sign Language, I can see some similarities! But that’s not the point, the point is, just in case you’re hard of hearing as well, can you understand me this way?»
She watches Kris expectantly, fingers tapping against each other excitedly.
