If buying Mami a beverage or a sweet would make her happy, than Madoka would gladly do it! Pus, it didn’t cost much money at all! It would be very nice to talk over a glass of hot coco! “Should we get going?”

"I-I...a-alright. Yes, let's go." Mami's face was red from both embarrassment and happiness, and she could hardly hold back a smile. She couldn't believe just how nice Madoka was, especially to someone who really doesn't deserve it! If only Mami herself could demonstrate such altruism to redeem her actions...

"Nonsense. There has to be something that you’re good at. And even if you’re not particularly interested or good at any subject… Like you said there’s probably something you’d learn better. And maybe we can incorporate some kind of technique so you remember them. Do you have any hobbies you like or something? Maybe we could incorporate those into your studying as well." She wanted to try to make it as painless as possible. 

Hitomi walked along beside the girl as she thought of ways to fit a whole year of school especially every subject into a few study sessions. She could go and do it like a demon— but that also was pretty ruthless. First they needed to narrow it down a bit. Maybe that’ll make it easier.

"I-I...like to help people...?" Mami blushed, feeling incredibly embarrassed. That sounded really dumb, but that was the first thing that came to her mind. "I m-mean, I do things like lending people money, and helping classmates carry their books, or helping the elderly carry their groceries home..."

Mami stopped. She could have went on just a bit longer about those mundane things she did, but she just wanted to stop and go home. She hadn't realize just how little her self-esteem was until now. But she couldn't just stop here! A fellow student was offering her help! She has to come up with something, anything! "I-I...used to be a cheerleader, but I can't stay on the team because of my grades..."

"A-ahh…." Sara stared for a while, not sure exactly what to say. She slowly took it from Mami, blinking a few times in legitimate surprise, her cheeks reddening just a little. "I… well, uhm… thank you, Tomoe-san…"

"You're welcome, Sara-san! I hope you'll enjoy your birthday!" Mami said cheerfully, casually accompanying her words with a wave to signal that as her taking her leave. Hurrying away and blushing, Mami hoped that Sara knew nothing about what gardenias meant in hanakotoba...

  { ✿ } Madoka giggled softly before coming to the revitalization that Mami might take it as Madoka laughing at her. “It’s alright, Mami-san, please don’t worry! I got my allowance last Saturday, and I would be happy to pay for you! I don’t mind at all, actually, I would be quite happy doing so! That’s a sign of friendship right?” The pinkette asked with a grin. She often payed for small things such as treats or tea for Sayaka, it made Madoka feel good! Because she was helping someone!

"A-Are you sure about that, Madoka-san...?" Mami chuckled nervously. She felt so ashamed, being such a financial burden on a friend made only minutes ago! Of course, just some beverage at some cafe isn't much by others' standards, but it was quite a lot to Mami. "I mean, we really don't have to! I-If you don't want to, that is..."

Well, that was the one and only gardenia Mami had, and now there was none left. Valentines mini Mami looked quite pleased, though. So did courage test mini Mami.
