Congrats to Steven Gerrard on his 400th Premier League appearance and if that wasnt enough we scored a hat trick on the occasion. First by taking on Tim Howard and company and beating them with a curling chip shot over Evertons defense. The second to were supplied by assist from everyone’s favorite Uruguayan Suarez. Truly a great showing from the captain and with signs of fight still left in Liverpools chase for the top 4. As for Everton better luck next time.

Edison Cavani is the one man who is going to separate the bad from the ugly in tomorrows Champions League match versus Chelsea. An unlikely cinderella story of an underdog team that started last seasons in title race the the two sides from milan continues into this season. While Napoli fell short of winning the league last year (3rd place) they seem to be in a prime position to finish strong in this Champions league charge, especially against an already wounded side.

Is Mancini cut out for this?

In January Manchester City was so above and beyond everyone else on the Premiership ship, it seemed safe to say they had the championship in the bag. Today Manchester United sit at the top of the top, ahead of City by one point. Over the past few year Manchester City have spent hundreds of millions of pounds assembling this team and all they have to show for it is the FA Cup. This season they crashed out the Champions League in the first round, and it looks very likely they'll do the same in the Europa. The team is filled with extrodinary talent and experience. If Mancini lets the League title slip away from him too this season, should he stay or should he go?

 "The Magician" is back! Franck Ribery played a sublime game today against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, which saw Bayern Munich come out with a stellar 7-1 victory. Responsible for 3 assist and 1 goal of his own durring today's match, he was indeed the driving force behind today's victory.

Finally a noteworthy purchase by Arsenal. Poldolski is going to be joining the club later this season, but what does this say about the future of RVP? Is he going to replace Robin Van Persie or are will they going to become the new dynamic duo that will bring glory to the Emirates?

Clint Dempsey the new cult hero in England's Fulham continues to deliver time and time again. Just recently the lad scored two consecutive hat tricks and is arguably the best American to ever play the game. Will he ever win some metal perhaps not with Fulham but I dont ever see him going anywhere else. One can however do nothing but wonder what he could do with a better put together squad. All wondering aside one thing is for sure I'll be getting my self a #23 jersey some time very soon.

Messi is at it again. Can the young phenom be stopped? Time and time again we see him show us a bit of magic, whether your a Barca fan or not you just can help but watch the little guy in awe. Messi delivered big in this weeks champions league scoring 5 in one game, a feat that hasn't been accomplished since the old champions league. With this performance he helped Barcelona beat Baryern Leverkusen with an aggraget score of 10-2, "Without Messi, Barca is the best team," Leverkusen coach Robin Dutt said. "And with him, they are in another galaxy." He truly is a wizard in front of goal with his new tally of  49 career Champions League goals to tie him with Real Madrid legend Alfredo di Stefano for fourth on the all-time European Cup list.

He jumps, he flies, he dives and he slides. What more can De Gea do to prove his worth at Manchester United? The kid can only do so much, but after making so many tremendous saves these past couple weeks there is no doubt in my mind he's the correct lad for the job. He may still be young and on occasion makes a couple costly mistakes but he more then makes up for them between the uprights. Sir Alex Ferguson himself gave the lad some praise today after the pummeling his side received at the hands of Athletico Bilboa, "Without David De Gea, we could have conceded four or five goals. He was superb. He made maybe four or five terrific saves in the game." This may be true but if United's defense don't shape up sooner rather then later we are going to see a lot more goals getting past De Gea.

Who will be Chelseas new coach? Jose Mourinho or Pep Guardiola? Perhaps even more important who will replace them when they leave La Liga?
