“What my life was didn’t matter in the world of crime. I was a field and analyst officer for the Equestrian Military Intelligence and a bodyguard for Princess Celestia…and the only one who was aware of the crumbling society of Equestria. When I tried to convince others to take action for the weak, everypony thought I was delusional and said everything was fine. When nobody was going to do something, I did something but at the cost of many lives. I stole Princess Twilight Sparkle’s Element of Magic crown, believing it would help stabilize and control what was left of this society…but it transformed me into an uncontrollable demon, corrupting my mind and accomplishing the opposite of what I was trying to do. I can still feel the warm blood of the ponies I swore to protect. I allowed myself to be taken down and captured by the Elements of Harmony. Surprisingly, they forgave me and insisted on being friends with me, although I wounded countless ponies as a demon. I had time to reflect on my life and how it led to this shit. Hell, I was sure Celestia wouldn’t accept me for who I am now. All of a sudden, I heard that the Elements of Harmony disappeared without a trace while I was still in prison. When I was released for good behavior, Equestria was beyond in need of repair. This place was a fucking haven for crime and corruption. I had nowhere to go. I was stripped of my honor and dignity. So, I used what was left of my resources to work as a mercenary for the underworld and that was when I met Blitz Ranger, a former assassin for a mob in his hometown, Panthera-Leo. As I got to know him better, I learned that Blitz just wanted to find peace for himself, but he came to Equestria at the wrong time. Hell, we seemed to bond with each other better than my ex. Our connection was deep and…so real that I can’t describe how it feels like, even for a lion like him. “I was just another lion cub about to be executed by cops before the mob took me in. They trained me, taught me the ins and outs of the underworld. They created a weapon in me by the time I was 16, which was the year where I had my first kill for my birthday. They called me the Young Alpha of Panthera-Leo.

I killed so many lions throughout my life I’ve lost count. Every night, I would close my eyes and see those people I killed, standing in front of me. Watching me with those soulless eyes. I always thought they would be the ones escorting me to the gates of hell whenever I try to sleep. I knew karma was gonna get me someday, so I tried to leave the mob. However, I caught them doing shit I thought they would never do.

Then all of a sudden, they framed me and put a price on my head. They just ordered everybody with a gun to hunt me down. That was when I knew there was no place for me in Panthera-Leo. So, I escaped to Equestria under a new name. I always believed it was the ideal land of peace. How fuckin’ wrong I was. It was just another haven for criminals and killers alike. Ponies there aren’t any better. They see lions as warmongers and terrorists, especially the fact that I just arrived a week after a bombing from my kind happened. I could tell they were scared, and I didn’t blame ‘em.

That’s when I ran into a unicorn named Sunset Shimmer. She used to be an Equestrian Military Intelligence officer until she was charged for semi-terrorism. Together, we became mercenaries-for-hire for Equestria’s deadly criminals and mobs. As we got to know each other better, our connection got deeper, and we become more than just partners. I’m still struggling to find peace and closure for myself. Cos’ I know someday, I’ll have to drop the gun and leave this world of crime. I’m more than just a mercenary. I’m more than just a monster created by the mob.
