this isn't exclusive to Sam either I think she waits until she's alone in the car with Dean and then she's like "so... Bert and Ernie are gay? Cas isn't going to die a virgin?" and his only options are to crash the car or sit in silence while Eileen bores eyeholes into the side of his head
do you ever just sit back and remember how much you hate supernatural. just, you take in for a minute how awful this show is and how badly it did every character you ever loved. and then you go back to reblogging gifs.
Yeah same. It's like, I know that it's an objectively bad show. The basic idea of it is okay at most, when they opened it up to bigger arcs and drew on things from a wider range of inspiration, it somehow got both better and worse. (in my case, better might be because I'm a slut for mythology of different kinds and they brought in more of that than just the local folklore monsters, but part of what they broadened it to was done so poorly) but still, there's so much that's still objectively bad. Those who don't watch it see that and we who watch it see it.
Some episodes are đđ˝đĽ°đ â¨đž Some are kinda good. Some are dreadfully bad. And most of them are honestly just meh and don't really make an impact. (a lot of them I don't really remember having seen. or you know, ignore that I've seen)
It's like it's so bad that it's good and so good that it's bad.
My guess is that we just latched on to the characters and the ideas of the story we liked, made those our own and ignored the rest.
It's like we see this show for what it could have been, and then sometimes the reality of it shines through into our version of it and I almost shudder

Iâve kind of always considered this as the moment when Dean first realizes what Cas is really willing to do for them. He knows Cas is willing to die, but in the life of a Winchester thatâs an easy sacrifice. Now he has this picture that tells him Cas is also willing to stick around, and keep sticking around.Â
And for a character who had a three season long abandonment arc (his brother, his father, people just gettân up and leaving him all the time) thatâs gotta be a big deal.Â
I wonder if this explains why Deanâs never lost faith that Cas will always come back to him? If this explains why Naomi couldnât influence him, couldnât turn him against Cas? Because Dean knows that Cas will always be there, he doesnât have to worry about Cas leaving because he will follow Dean to his death. Literally.
Today, I just want everyone to be a little grateful that we have archiveofourown.org in our lives.

Whatever you do - don't think about Dean and Cas on their honeymoon, having ice cream and Dean holding his out for Cas. Cas opens his mouth to taste it only for Dean to boop his ice cream on Cas' nose and then he laughs and Cas frowns and Dean leans forward to kiss the ice cream off of Cas' nose and then they sorta forget the ice creams all together and they drop to the ground and then after a long make out session they have to get new ice creams...

there are few things my last brain cell finds as funny as dean, really proud of himself, giving cas a really really bad drawing of what he thinks casâ trueform looks like and cas just stares at it, and then at dean, and then at the drawing again, and like that for ten minutes.
If there was no wedding, then why do I have photos, huh?? HUH???
