What if I headcanoned that Vincent was planning to propose to his "forever person" after the games?

What if I headcanoned that he planned to give them a nice dinner after the games, before they went to their bedroom, where there were rose petals arranged on their bed to say "Will you marry me?"

What if I headcanoned Vincent feeling sorrowful, carrying Lovely in his arms and barely able to stand, as he took them to their bedroom and remembering what he had planned?

What if I headcanoned that when he placed Lovely on the bed, he swept the petals off of the bed?

What if I headcanoned that he hid the box that had been burning in his pocket the entire day and night somewhere they wouldn't look?

What if I headcanoned him putting off his plans indefinitely because there's no way he's going to put the stress of starting a new chapter on his Lovely, when they just started a new one where they would need all the help they can get? Need someone to guide them and make sure they don't harm anyone else or themselves?

What if I headcanoned after Lovely wakes and sees the rose petals, Vincent brushes it off as him originally planning to give them a "relaxing" night after the games, but no longer so with...everything, especially with their senses freshly heightened and their mind trying to catch up.

Thinking about Redacted asmr again and how insanely invested I was, now it’s been almost 2 years and the channel and story is gone but the characters are still ingrained in my brain. Is this sentimental? Yeah totally.

I love this fandom, I was apart of it when it first started, I think around Eric’s 2nd or 3rd video? Either way these characters got me through a lot, more than I’d care to admit. I’m glad people still enjoy these stories despite the change and shrinking fandom. I’m sure people I haven’t seen in a while who’ve long been doing other things still think of our little community fondly <3 I was only a tiny bit of it all but it felt wonderful.

David squeezes Angel’s hand before letting go. It’s a silent promise that he’ll come back to them, no matter where he goes (most likely just to the kitchen)

Vincent holds Lovely like it’s his last time. He knows they’ve got forever now, but he never forgot the feeling of losing them, and wants to make sure he never repeats the past

Babe gently pulls on Asher’s hand when he looks at the mirror. He gets trapped in the memories embedded in his scars, but Babe is always there to remind him to stay in the present. He always gives them an appreciative kiss after.

Milo and Sweetheart make it a habit to bridge more often, to feel each other’s magic deep. They almost lost that connection once, and Milo never wants to forget the way his mate’s magic feels - quiet, but warm and loving.

Sam catches Darlin’ looking at the stars alone some nights, thinking. He can tell by the way they curl in on themself, arms wrapped around their propped up legs. He builds them a staircase to the roof, like he had for his old house, and sits down next to them. He can’t make their thoughts disappear, but he can be there for them when it gets too loud in their own head.

they don’t get verbally hit on too often cause they often come off as intimidating — helpful in this case, keeps their workspace professional — but there’s a general consensus in the area that they’re hot

a pizza delivery guy and a bartender getting together is also just a really cute idea to me. the city of dahlia laughing abt the contrast between their personalities while having no idea they’ve been dating for years

im thinking of honey nearing the end of their shift when they look up, expecting another customer, and see guy (not at all smoothly) sliding into a seat and rattling off all the pickup lines he can think of

cut to an hour later where honey finally gets off & they’re forced to hold up a tipsy and therefore very clingy guy as they walk back to their apartment

Redacted posted again, so it’s time for my opinions nobody asked for.

I’ve seen a lot of ppl talking abt how we’re getting a D.A.M.N. crew version 2, which I think it very very true, but here’s what’s interesting to me. It feels like Corvus and Lincoln are kind of inverses of Gavin and Huxley.

Like Gavin is so charismatic and whitty and always can find a way to flirt. He also uses these traits as a mask to hide his vulnerability. Meanwhile Corvus is honest to a fault. He doesn’t understand the sarcasm that Gavin uses like it’s his first language. He is who he is, there is no societal expectation forcing him into his role, he just is that way.

On the other hand, we have Huxley and Lincoln. Huxley who is so laid back about the insane extent of his powers and what he can do with them, who won the Earth Elemental section of the E&E games but just likes to use his powers to dig holes. He is laid back and so chill with everybody he comes across. But Lincoln doesn’t get that luxury. Everyone is so intensely aware of his presence because of his aura. They all know what it means. He is isolated and completely unable to consider, at first, that Dreamer would want to sit with him instead of taking the chair elsewhere. He doesn’t get to make friends as easily as Huxley. He doesn’t get to be laid back and happy.

“Darlin’…” he rests his forehead against theirs, speaking low as if he’s telling an intimate secret.

“Life without you isn’t worth living. You are my purpose. You are my reason for breathing. If you’re not there I don’t want to spend another second in this world.

I’d rather die with you than live without you.

Death doesn’t scare me.

But a life where you aren’t by my side does.”

“Sam…”

“Let me.”

“I…”

He held them tight in his arms, pressing a kiss to their forehead in the way that made Darlin’ soft every time.

“I’ve always wanted to see the sun rise. To feel it. And I’ve always wanted to see it… with you.”

Darlin’ coughed, feeling their lungs slowly give out. But the pain didn’t stop them from smiling. They fell limp in his arms, the last of their energy spent in that little moment of protest.

“…I’ve always wanted to see it with you too.”

Sam smiled.

“I love you, Darlin’. Forever and always.”

They watched the sun rise one last time, letting the warmth of its rays wash over them.

They never let go of each other, even in their last moments.
