Although the Wauters are a renowned Greaser family, the Wauters dynasty is one of the oldest in Disney. Their family can be traced back more than six generations in the very same house they still reside in, now that is family tradition. Another tradition of the Wauters is that they are fishermen by nature, and they’ve been running the fish market in Disney for decades, even centuries. That’s all changed now, though, since Triton Shipping Co. has decided to branch into the fishing market. It’s ridiculous chains like Triton that run good, wholesome businesses out of commission, or so that’s what you may hear Mr. Wauter spew about whenever the state of the family business is mentioned. That only makes young Eric work all the harder, though. See, unlike his father, Eric believes in the good of people. He’s convinced that no matter what Triton Shipping Co. does, the Wauters will have the loyalty of the masses. After all, if loyalty exists at all, then over that last century or so Eric’s sure that the Wauter’s family has earned it from Disney customers. Although Eric believes in the people of this town with all his heart, the numbers simply aren’t supporting their fishing company. They’ve had to downsize significantly, and now they’re down to only two boats (only one actually operable). When Eric’s not fishing or working with his father on the mechanics of their boats, he’s still out by the water. In fact, it’s rare for him to choose to hang out anywhere actually in town. There was one day, though, in celebration of his 18th birthday and coming of legal drinking age that Eric’s friends forced him out. They spent the night drinking it up at Cafe Voodoo’s Karaoke Night — and that’s when Eric heard the voice of an angel. Unfortunately, he never quite put a face to that angel. Ever since, Eric hasn’t looked at a girl twice, waiting for that voice to grace his ears once again.
