Working on my comic and wanted to share some WIP shots. There’s my main girl! I’m so excited but totally reminded of how tedious the whole process in creating a comic strip is!

This is named Project V right now- I have a few titles but still playing around with them. This is a storyline/ plot /hodpodge of ideas that I had since 2010/2011. Every time I went to start or work on it, I just got super discouraged. Could just be a me thing though.

Anywho- really excited to do this and hope to stay committed. I’ll probably be uploading this guy on webtoon as soon as I have the whole 1st arc drawn out.

She’s the toughest fighter.

I’m back! After a few years of trying to get a handle on my life and exploring more of who I am, I’m making art that I want to again.

This year has been a clusterfuck of craziness. The time in lock down really made me realize how much time I’ve been putting into my job rather than myself or those that are important to me. That and time of earth is really limited so I really should be doing what I want to do rather than going with status quo.

I’ll be updating this blog with more frequency now- have a lot of things planned and I’m just very excited.

My plate setting project from last semester! It was so exciting getting the print outs and putting it together! Painted a dinner plate, cake plate, cup, dinner napkin, cocktail napkin, invitation, and a placement card. I loved this project because it really turned out the way I envisioned it. It is honestly one of the projects that I feel confident putting into my portfolio.

Textile prints I made recently! I was inspired by cherubs and angels from post-Renaissance paintings. I had so much fun making them! Especially making the little wings. I took the color palette from multiple Baroque paintings and just loved that deep red with the gold. All done in Photoshop.

A little sketch that I made during my conception of a book cover project last year. Quite disappointed with how the actual piece came out but I had so much fun drawing these two when not under pressure for it to look beautiful. This is my perception of how Raymondin and Melusine would look in a British colonized India.They are figures from European folklore and were featured in this Witches book that I had when I was a child. It was my favorite tale from the whole book, so they hold a special place in my heart. Planning to redo the book cover over as well as illustrate a few more pages to go with this. I wish I had time!
