How do you get through stress?

I️ get in my car and drive late at night. Eventually a good portion of your brain is preoccupied with keeping you alive and not getting in a wreck. Preoccupied to the point you get a break from what you’re stressed about.

Im wondering what it would be like to get to know every fiber of your being. What makes you tick, what keeps the fire burning deep in your core. There are many parts to human beings, and you're so intricately woven. it'd be so wonderful to be the person to get to break open the best parts and keep them safe.

Best way to learn about fishing?

4-6 weight anything I'd say. And whatever you can afford. You got this.

So i joined fishing club at my university and it's full of guys (i'm a girl) and i'm so nervous of looking stupid. any tips?

Nah just ask questions and take it seriously. Anyone who knows a lot about fishing loves talking about it too. I personally love showing people and talking to people about it if they're genuinely interested. If they don't care then neither do I.

How did you become so knowledgeable about fly fishing? Was it just experience or was it from your relatives or did you research?

I started out fishing normally with a spin reel and rod. I had be fishing since I was about 4 or 5. When I picked up fly fishing I already had a pretty good understanding of how fish act and what lures to use where and when. All of that pretty much transferred over to flyfishing. I just had to learn out to cast, strip set, and tie a few new knots. They're definitely two different animals completely but I was able to mesh the two pretty well. Most of my expertise comes from trial and error or learning from peers. Nobody else in my family fly fishes and it's had to find reliable sources online for a specific location at a specific time of year.
