An unreleased remix/bootleg that I was quite hesitant to post, even on SoundCloud (I wouldn't want to upload here), but I decided to do so right now on Tumblr (the last day of Pride Month).
To be honest with you, I'm very shy about posting my music, as I am a hobbyist musician, but during the pandemic years, I slowly started to lose my motivation to compose anything like I used to back in the 2010s. It's all because most of the tracks revolved around my "fixations", one of them being the G-Man from Half-Life (since 2019, I've got a remix album starring him called The Governed Request).
Speaking of, this track was made at a time when I was absolutely stanning G' (Aug. 2021 was the peak of the fascination :P) and also 'cause the original track was very popular. So I decided to remix it my own way. :D
Anyway, the track doesn't feature the vocals from the original, however it does feature a TRUCK load of samples from the first two Chemical Brothers albums and others (that's why I hesitated like I said earlier).

They bring up discord and how they had their age verification data leaked, leaving thousand of IDs out in the open
“So, do not tell us this is just about safety. When you force people to hand over identity documents to access public life online, you create new targets, new risks, and new harms.”
“It does not stop there. First, they ask for your ID. Then, they ask to monitor the device in your pocket and your private messages.
That is something police can only do with due cause and a court order. This effectively inverts the presumption of innocence and puts a policeman in your pocket.”
They compare it to a town hall, pointing out that you can’t ban a town hall

Anyway, it's mainly because Google had decided to "kill off" the search box by completely replacing it with their AI chatbot to make it more... "intelligent". They will be rolling it out next week.
You know, I'm so fed up with Google or the entire Big Tech in general persuading us to use AI, while (I guarantee) the change will pose the significant risk of hallucinating delusional facts.
Speaking of which, recently, I actually did install Helium and migrate my account there. However, I will be changing the browser in less than two weeks (1st of June this year). Yeah, I tend to schedule my own "resolutions" sometimes. :P
I think Helium's neat; it's just like Chrome, but more compact and, most importantly, without the nonconsensual AI file (really, 4GBs? :/).
Ever since the Utah anti-VPN law got announced (which will take effect in 2 days, technically globally at the end of this year), I don't see many people discussing about the immense danger of losing rights to privacy and mandatory ID verification, while at the same time, the lawmakers passing those laws don't even know what a VPN actually is. On top of that, they want to implement age verification inside the services, too, which defeats the initial purpose of them completely.
These are essential for keeping your personal data safe from all kinds of cyberattacks like breaches, leaks, identity theft, which, in this day and age, unfortunately are present en masse. Sadly, they want to take that away from literally everybody, all for the sake of verifying your potentially vulnerable data to "protect the kids" from accessing adult sites. Let's not forget about tracking your every move, as if we had the G-Man from Half-Life in, not just mine, but every single one of our minds (sorry, I needed that :P).
I'll be waiting until that date (06/05/2026) strikes. One more thing, with no VPNs, if the data leaks will eventually be spreading like wildfire for millions (possibly billions) of people, that's on the lawmakers themselves.
I don't want to repeat myself, but again, I hope there will be even more backlash and that the people will finally wake up from all of this nonsense to stop it for the good of digital privacy. I also think that, in the next couple months or years since enactment, the law will inevitably go down the shitter, so that the cyberspace will be free from mass surveillance like in the good old days. I'm 100% sure of it! :D
