Work life balance in Brussels.
AE. Scotlands town with the shortest name has a great forest and lots of interesting rails around. Yes the moss was as green as it looks. No I did not crank up the saturation. And yes they also have fantastic Billionaire Shortbread.
I love me a tasty cup of coffee. And most certainly do many of my Amsterdam friends. When we realize that many of us indulged in bringing back a few fancy beans from our Christmas travels we decided to give them a try. Cupping is what the coffee-nerds (I do not consider myself as one to that end) call the act of testing many coffees in one sitting. It’s not about brewing the most delicious cup. No its rather about creating cups in the most equal way at the same time and then comparing them. So we did and tried 10 different beans. Think Mokka style coffee - you have all the grounds in the cup so better be careful when spooning. Ondrej had his eagle eyes over it and made sure no one broke the rules of the great Hoffman. He also meticulously weighed and ground all the coffees. That lead to a great experience for all and many surprises when it came to the coffees and their variety. Interestingly there were clear favourites shared by most and some no one really liked too. Funky 95 from Nautilus and Uncommon goodness (not in stock anymore) were my favourites.

A moody hike above Allemond on steep slopes with beautiful flowers. Bit long for the anticipiated rest-day as of usual but definitley pretty.
