Date Night, Kinda || Eric and Lindsay
"Is something wrong, Cooper?" Lindsay asked, glancing over at him, noticing the change in his face. Looking towards the bedroom, she shook her head. "I’d rather spend time with you. But I would love to have dinner in bed and watch Orange is The New Black. I’ve been waiting for you to watch it."
"That was the point." Lindsay smiled innocently, giggling at Eric’s low voice. She loved when he talked like that. "I’ve thought about that before. And I’ve never really thought about anything good. And that’s not just because I love Jasey Rae so much. Now that we’ve grown up, I see that a lot of the shit we used to do was really stupid. If we kept on that road of heavy drinking and smoking, where we we be right now? I don’t see anywhere good. Yeah, I see fun places. But I’m happy with the live we have no. I’ve got you. I’ve got Jasey. I’ve got all I need." She said, wrapping her arms around his waist, watching him cook.
"No, nothing," he lied, forcing a smile onto his face as he looked back at her. What she was saying was valid and truth, he just had a hard time admitting it. "Okay, then that's exactly what we'll do," Eric smiled, kissing her lips once more. It felt slightly liberating to be without Jasey for a bit and just be able to kiss his girlfriend whenever, it almost felt like before.Â
"Bad girl," Eric laughed, winking at her. He just threw his head back laughing, excited for later plans. He nodded, listening to what she was saying and agreeing with most of it. Had Eric continued on the path he was on, would Lindsay still be in his life? Would he even still be on Earth? "You're right babe. Everything happens for a reason, right? I'm glad that Jasey's in our life." He waited a few more minutes before turning to Lindsay, "can you bring me two plates please?"Â
