Uh. So I was messing around with color palettes and then Leroux!Erik showed up…
Lucy St. Louis (radiating pure happiness) in her fitting for her negligee costume.
The dress in Christine’s dressing room, AKA “The lost dress”. Not because it’s really lost. Well, unless you count that missing Vegas skirt. But because Christine never gets to wear it, as she’s whisked away by the Phantom. And when we finally do see her in a Victorian day dress, it’s the blue Wishing one. Still, I would count it as one of Christine’s costumes, if not one of her many costume changes. The main purpose of the dress is to 1. substitute a wall, 2. function as a door stopper, and 3. makes it look even more like a dressing room. The original dress looked rather generic, and could well have blended with the Don Juan Rehearsal ladies. It was used in the West End until very recently, I think it was changed only a year or two ago. The later versions shows a “Swiss corset” bodice and a skirt with paniers. The colours and decorations varies a lot, but it usually have a V shaped neck opening with lace and a cameo, and some kind of stripy fabric towards velvet is also involved.
I'm going to be posting all my Phantom stuff here now
