La plaça d'Anselm Clavé en el barri històric, al centre de la ciutat de Manresa, un lloc on hi entra poc el sol per l'altura dels edificis, resta habitualment a l'ombra, i és molt apreciada a l'estiu per la fresca que s'hi respira, al mig, el monument a Anselm Clavé, un bust del personatge dalt d'una columna de pedra entre els arbres sense fulles, he pintat l'obra a l'hivern, al fons algunes botigues a la cantonada amb el carrer Urgell, entre elles la farmàcia Comas, i en primer terme les taules i cadires de la terrassa del Bar Els Til·lers, gammes sordes entre les ombres que només s'hi il·luminen en la part alta de les cases. Pintura amb pinzellades sotes i molt expressives sobre paper de 50 x 70 centímetres, amb paisatges manresans de l'artista pintor Ernest Descals. Els arbres són imprescindibles en els carrers i places, ens parlen de l'eterna renovació i els cicles vitals. La verdad es que disfruto pintando el entramado de estaciones en su gran variedad estética, los medios de transporte urbano me apasionan.
