I was not impressed by marks n Spencer’s pancake mix. Tried frying some pancakes and they stuck to the pan so tried to put the mix in a waffle maker. Not great. 2/5.

These guys taste exactly the same as the normal Chicago towns. Can definitely taste the sweet pepper in the sauce.

As pasta salads go this is ok. Too much basil for my taste. Got a mouthful of sweetcorn in the first mouth full. The meat substitute had a lovely seasoning. 3/5.

Attempted the cashew Mac for the 2nd time in my life. I’d say it went well. Froze some of the sauce for a vegan fondu later this week.

Been treating myself to some vegan options this week. Went to a local vegan cafe called megafauna. Ordered a HUGE seitan chicken salad. I was defeated. The iced berry smoothie was great and refreshing. Definitely going back. 5/5.

Here’s an announcement. I’m back on the “diet”. Bit of everything diet. If there is a vegan option I’m choosing that but if all there is is a bacon roll I won’t say no.

Struggle

How many vegans out there have hit a wall before now. For the past week ive had it bad. Ive had mcdonalds, bakery products and even a cheese board. My depression has got the better of me as ive lost my job as a result of my depression and had nothing to live for. My drinking has also excelled i just thank god ive not had anything else rear its head with my past experiences, but I’m not far off. Feeling alone and having no one to turn to is a big hurdle im not over coming. Just wishing i get through it.
