Lemme just say that I absolutely adore self shippers with f/o's who are really obscure characters.

If your f/o is a background character, they're really happy you picked their face out in the crowd and fell in love with them!

If your f/o is a character from a really old piece of media, they're happy that the sands of time haven't stopped you from loving them!

If your f/o is from an obscure piece of media, it makes them happy that you found them and hold them close like a precious treasure that was waiting to be found

If your f/o is often forgotten by the fandom, it warms their heart to know you've immortalized them with your love

If your f/o is unconventional, it makes them feel so special that they're just your taste!

other selfshippers can create selfship content better than you

other selfshippers have more support than you

other selfshippers have less bodily issues than you

if your circumstances were different, you would do all of the above and your f/o(s) know that! that is what’s important. that is what matters. try not to stress about who has more or less, your f/o(s) are all for you and you only.

also everything you create, your f/o(s) will hold dear to them in their own way! keep creating and keep trying without overexerting yourself <3
