I came out as gay and nonbinary at like 13ish so it’s been about ten years of being out which has been mostly neutral positive? I think my family should be more with it after all this time, but trying is better than hatred

I think the only thing thats changed about how I see myself is that I’ve changed names a few times (currently Shiloh Rose) and that I went from feeling agender to being a bigender transfem so that’s tight

Coming up next month I will have been with my partner for three years and that’s also pretty cool (ignore that I drew my boyfriends instead of my partner in their entirety, squares and rectangles)

I don’t have anything cool to say, just remember that you can change your mind and name and pronouns and labels as many times as you want, it’s never too late to realize something new about yourself (and maybe don’t worry so much about how other people choose to label themselves, even if it doesn’t make sense to you)

My partner likes Pokémon and I REALLY like Pokémon so I’m forcing them to play randomized USUM on our date night

I made this quick comic just because I was excited and impatient

We have it set up so all Pokémon and TMs are randomized, but not abilities or stats or anything so it’s not too extreme. It’s also not a nuzlocke because my partner doesn’t think it’d be good with perma death because they’re not the best at Pokémon and it gets attached. We are, however, doing a monotype thing so we aren’t just steam rolling the game with like the first six legendaries we find

Whatever our random starters are will decide which type of Pokémon we’re each sticking to for the whole game

I really liked the pilot for Gameoverse but I think it’s a good pilot and not a good first episode so I’d like if they made an actual episode one, but I’m not getting my hopes up

Anyway Gobbles is my favorite forty year old toddler (though he’s like in his twenties I think?)

I always feel cringe making self inserts because I watched too many ‘OC cringe’ videos as a child, but it’s a fun way to engage with a universe and to reflect on aspects of yourself and I need to be more bold about my interests

Drawfee inspired Fakémon (specifically drawing pokemon based on their eyes)

I love Drawfee but I’m also a very obsessive Pokémon fan so I have critiques, which are mostly that they (understandably) can’t make a cohesive and effective Pokémon design on the spot especially since they’re not in the habit of replicating Pokémon’s design philosophy/ aesthetic

I don’t think I’m the arbiter of effective design and I wouldn’t say these are the most polished or thought out, but it was fun to reimagine their reimaginings of Pokémon

(Also nathan’s was just like straight up like a chibi anime girl, what was up with that)

Heart Gold Badge Quest

Two of my favorite pokemon (they’re ones I already have in other games, but I won’t complain about seeing them again)

Golbat was my first shiny ever in Platinum and kickstarted my love of shiny hunting so the Zubat line is one I deeply love (hence why I’m on Melon #5, there have been 4 others), but I had kinda wanted a Sandslash since I don’t have it, or even an Onix because it’d be interesting for a playthough

Hypno is a pokemon with an unfairly bad reputation, but I love it and think its nose is so cute so making it pink just sweetens the deal for me. As cute as I find Drowzee and Hypno, they don’t really excel in anything and might get booted from the team later for better coverage, but I’ll be happy to keep him on my pokewalker and bring him around with me when the time comes

TMs are in short supply so it’s hard to justify using them on pokemon who fill a niche that might be better covered by a different pokemon later, the level up move sets really shoot a lot of pokemon in the foot in this game
