there was this known jay biased engene writer that I loved so much and they wrote an smau that basically included the aspects of superheroes.

how each of them had to save the day basically like dispatch + marvel. I found it so interesting and loved the concept so much. it's the fact I believe the characters were original heroes too. however, I believe they deactivated a long time ago and I was sad. the series was gone and it was never finished😞

man okay. no one is obligated to comment on fic they read but it is still kind of wildly depressing to have 2000 people click on a fic and three (3) leave a comment. like I wrote this for me and it would have been worth the effort even if I never shared it, but that kind of reaction does make me understand the impulse to go “well in that case I’m packing up my toys and going home. fuck you guys”

The problem with stuff like Pjackk and the way most tumblr users work is that like. The person running Pjackk was funny, they could conceptualize a bit no one had done before and run with it. It’s creative in the way that like good comedy does actually have to have some discernment and originality. But they’re the exception to the rule for how tumblr users think jokes work, or at least think posting jokes work. Most people here think a good joke is one everyone will laugh at, so they resort to a specific range of funny post structures and punchlines they’ve picked up from years of reblogging other, funnier posters, so when someone like that takes over, the new Pjackk is stale and kind of embarrassing.

#also not for nothing but old Pjackk was willing to be riskier in the jokes #because it wasn’t primarily a note gaining goal but a joke telling goal #they just happened to play a character they thought was funny and it turns out lots of others did #whereas the new person is like I Am Pjackk And Pjackk Is Funny #you know?
