ARCHIVE ā SHORT OVERVIEW
1. The Archive is a map-based project dedicated to fan works related to Undertale (and possibly Deltarune in the future).
2. Within the fandom, there is a major barrier for newcomers due to the sheer volume of AUs, stories, timelines, and interpretations.
3. The purpose of the Archive is to make entering the fandom easier and to help people understand its history and structure.
4. The Archive aims to collect and organize the history of fan-created works (this is the core goal of the project).
5. The Archive is conceived as a large-scale database.
6. The database will preserve different formats of fan content, including:
comics
games
animations
music
7. One of the reasons behind creating the Archive is the risk of information loss: creators may suddenly delete their accounts, causing their works to disappear.
8. For the Archive to exist, copyright and creator consent must be addressed: establishing communication with fan creators (permission, collaboration, and mutual respect).
9. This list will continue to expand and evolve over time.
10. Can I handle this? I understand that this project is extremely ambitious, and its scale scares me.
Iām nervous ā but Iām willing to try.
I just want to try, at the very least.
