Dedan had no respect for the Batter, or was it the puppet master? Who really knew, one thing was for surer, the thought of giving up on his zone was simply not possible.

“—Your supposed pure mission is simply disgusting batter. The only thing pure here are my intentions. ”

"Oh please, Dedan. Don’t make me laugh. You are soaked with sin and unholy regrets— Like your failed Zone. I admire your pathetic attempts to justify this repulsive Zone that you call your Kingdom. It only shows that the beings with no brain are the happiest to roll around in their own filth. You have no idea how my holy mission is helping the Zones."

“—And what is so holy about destroying what has been worked on for so long! Not to mention you are completely ignoring the queen's desires. Her own plans will keep this world safe. Unlike you.. ”

Well it appears that he was having at least some respect , which was good, however still the talk of files bothered him. As if there were multiple universes? By the sound of it, that was what this guy was getting at. His head cocked to the side as he listened to him.

“—I see. Now tell me, are you planning on working here or what?”

Residents could mean workers, which would be good to have more workers..

Now, Cecil had no problem working. He preferred it actually. It kept him busy, and he generally liked making money. But he didn’t like having a boss that yelled at his employees and wasn’t around all that often when he had questions he needed answered.

Like fuck he was going to say that to Dedan’s face though. They guy had an attitude and a rather impressive (and intimidating) set of chompers. And he actually was being kind of…civil.

"W-well, yeah. Of course! I don’t really expect to make a living doing nothing after all!" How the hell was Dedan so much less intimidating than the Queen? “I’m not really sure where I should work though…before I ran into you, I was mostly just trying to keep spectres away from the miners.”

Good, someone who wasn't a slacker, he would keep a close eye on this person, that dark gaze always was staying on her. Making sure not to let his gaze go anywhere else. Hm.. Either way, Dedan wasn't going to yell at a new face. A small head tilt before thinking about what could be said.

“—I see. Well you have come at a great time for working, there's plenty of free room to start working”

Yep, he would be getting more workers, thanks to Vader. Either way, a hand was on his hip.

The louder Guardian roared out, staring at the male for a moment before tilting his head just a bit

For once, he was actually out walking through the walls, Dedan was glancing around every so often, checking to make sure people were actually working, and not slacking off. Anyone who was slacking off were just wastes of time , air, space, and elements.

Good thing he lost feeling of pain a long time ago, or else he could feel his joints ache already. He clenched his burnt white claws onto his pickaxe handle, not wanting to stop suddenly and lash out at a spectre, not after hearing Dedan’s voice. Now was not the time to play the role of the agitated Burnt.

He hummed a tune as he picked away. Would the Guardian notice the zombie-like Elsen miner? He was told he smelled pretty bad by a visiting Pastel once, and he never left the mines unless its for reasons unrelated to work.

Oh he smelt it, something seemed different and off, however he wouldn't say anything yet. His eyes lingering and glancing around. Things just seemed.. Off down here. Hands clenching before letting out a slight roar. Distaste, anger, who really knew

“—Hmm, something seems off”

As he slowly approached the strange one, his eyes would lower as he towered above him

“—You are more daft and brainless than these specters around us. I am hardly trying to destroy this zone! I am the guardian of zone one, I rule over it and help rebuild it. What you’re doing is simply destroying a perfectly well toned machine! ”

"—— What you rule, Guardian, is merely a lost Zone. You try to save something that is long lost. And you can’t even see your own foolish mistakes. The imperfections, the impure things around us— They all wait to get purified, to get cleansed from their sins and dirt. I am destroying this unholy concept and clean this Zone once and for all!”

A pilot with a name.. Interesting, most people around here barely ever gave their name out. Taking note of that, he just shrugged his broad shoulders.

“—Likewise I suppose, now, Emily, I need any info you have of things going on here. Good, or bad.”

"Well sadly, I don’t really know much about what is happening in this zone or any zones at that. My zeppelin lands in a zone, I do my business there, then leave. I don’t really bother learning about what’s happening in each zone. Unless you would like to know about my zeppelin and my business, than I don’t really have any info for you."

Great, just great, so this person knew nothing. Well, he had better figure out something in a different way. Eyes focusing on the shorter female as he allowed his thoughts to linger for a moment before speaking up once more.

“—Simply tell me if there have been any 'suspicious' activity, maybe people boarding your zeppelin that seem out of place.”

The Queen closed the door behind him with a smile on her face.

"I want everyone to be as comfortable as possible while they are here," Vader explained, following him, her add-ons vanishing, sensing to threat here.

"Ah, that is certainly good news," she chimed, sitting down and quickly pouring him a cup of tea. "How are your elsen fairing? Do you have enough of them?" She asked, looking up at him.

Zone 1 was the most important, and she wanted to be sure that things were running as smoothly as possible.

“—Pardon my language, however they simply don’t make them like they use to, unless I have gotten stronger over the years it seems they don’t survive their deserved punishment as much as they use to.. As for your question, I believe for the time being we have plenty.”

So long as no one came and bothered him, things were working out just perfectly. The truth was he needed to ask one rather important question for the Queen, one that he knew the answer to, but at the same time needed deeper explanation.

Taking the cup of tea and sitting down, he would slowly drink before talking.

“—After everything is finished, tell me what do you plan on doing next.”

"I believe they are getting weaker with each generation," she sighed softly.

She was silent for a few moments, contemplating what to do next.

"I want all elsen working 25% longer each day if they are able to stock up on the elements, then I want everyone to take a 3-day break to rest," she answered calmly. "They need a break, they’re being worked to death and have no life besides work. That isn’t a life I want them living," she shook her head, taking a few sips from her tea.

“—Yes of course, it was never my intention to work them to death, simply work them to their fullest.. Apparently they seem to have a different mind set. When I return I will let them know”

He wasn't all that huge on the idea of giving them breaks, it meant they'd have to cycle work schedules and to Dedan, it seemed to make more sense to make them work nearly twenty-four-seven all of the time. Regarrdless, the queen demanded it, so he would go through with it.

“—Anything else?.”

All this talk about ‘another file’ and ‘files’ seemed to be pissing fof Dedan more than he’d like. A roar of annoyance passed the teeth of the creature as he stared at the person in front of him.

“—And you are?.”

He really didn’t care, nor was he interested in finding out, so many people showed up daily they were just a blur to him

Goddamn it. He had even been nice and he was still getting roars of annoyance. He really wished yelling and angry tones didn’t set him on edge. Cecil fiddled with the cuffs of his hoodie’s sleeves and did his best to remain level-headed and calm.

"C-cecil. Sir." The "sir" just spilled out on instinct. "I’m…I’m a new resident here. In Zone 1. J-just arrived earlier this week!"

Not this Zone 1, but some other Zone 1. Honestly, he really didn’t care one way or another. Hell, if this Dedan accepted him as a resident, then he would probably just move into that version so he wouldn’t have to worry about the Dedan that ran his file’s Zone 1.

“—I see. Now tell me, are you planning on working here or what?”

Vader’s face lit up slightly at the sight of her first guardian, her royal inspector.

"Dedan, what a pleasant surprise," she said, clasping her hands together in front of her. She found it odd that Enoch wasn’t with him.

"Please, do come in. I just prepared a fresh batch of tea, if you would like something different, I can get that for you," she stepped aside for him to come in.

She had always preferred Dedan over the other guardians, perhaps it was the way he handled things, how to didn’t buckle under pressure, or how trustful he could be. And she never had a moment of doubt with entrusting him with the first and most important zone.

A small shake of his monstrous-like head as he would duck down and step inside. Tea was fine, however he wouldn’t openly admit to drinking that around others. It always was something like a guilty pleasure.

“—Tea is just fine, however a tea party isn’t what I am here for Miss Eloha .”

A short walk inside brought the tall male to the dining room, a sly ‘grin’ if you could even call it such pushed the flesh further apart as he decided to make a joke, or more so an observation.

“—I should thank you for making such a perfectly crafted home, especially with a ceiling far above my head . Now, onto business, I assume you wish to know how things are going, I have made sure to dispose of everything you wish gone from zone one, and more importantly, any slackers have been punished accordingly .”

Just how did he punish them? Well, it was always different.
