L and B l @beyondthesuccessor
Beyond chose to ignore L’s inquiry and leave it up to his imagination. He had no interest in discussing such things with L, while there were more pressing matters on his mind. Particularly when he didn’t know how long L would be there.
He rolled his eyes and made a little hum as he inspected his fingers, pretending to have little interest. Those times he had chance seen L were brief though admittedly precious. L was perhaps not the last person he’d expected to have visiting, but it was difficult to believe nonetheless. Shortly he brought his fingers up and began scratching the side of his neck before beginning.
"Now that I am your enemy you have interest. Because I guess as a successor I wasn’t worth much of your precious time." Pity he hadn’t thought of this sooner he thought holding back a laugh. "Don’t flatter yourself by thinking this was all about you. It was…supposed to be about me."
L remained quiet, waiting patiently for Beyond to speak again. He chewed on the inside of his lip unconsciously, staring at the other intently. He had presumed B would not answer his first question, although a small percentage of him had hoped. "You're not wrong, I am interested," He murmured slowly in response, "However, you're wrong there. You were one of the top students at Wammy's House. Of course you were worth my time. However little of it I had to spare." He spoke carefully, trailing off at his last point. The raven haired man's mouth curved in the smallest of smiles, a breathy chuckle escaping his lips, "Naturally." He said simply.
