Burdens turn to wonder.

Grace is such an amazing characteristic of Jesus. Let me explain the difference between mercy and grace. If you're speeding on the highway and a cop pulls you over and says "Hello ma'am/sir, you were speeding but I'm going to let you off the hook today, have a good one". That is mercy. On the converse, let me give you and example of grace. Again, you're speeding on the highway and a cop pulls you over and says "Hello, you were just speeding back there like crazy but I'm going to let you off the hook today. OH AND I'm going to let you take the keys to MY care and not only that, but I'll teach you how to drive better." THAT is grace and it's INCREDIBLE SO LET'S JUST GET EXCITED FOR A SEC!!! Grace is underserving mercy with a cherry of blessing on top.

In our lives, we tend to get off course so many times and speed and crash all over the place. And sometimes we look in the mirror and think "I'm so impure and inadequate and unworthy". BUT GOD. He comes in the picture and says "Okay, you've been sexually impure, I'm going to make you new again. And oh, you think you're not enough? Guess what? YOU ARE enough. So enough that I sent my only son ever to be beaten, mocked and murdered just for you". You see guys, God makes us new every single day. His grace for us is new every single day that we wake up. He's constantly breathing life into us and it's marvelous. Sin is anything that separates us from God (our Father). There are so many things in the world that on a daily basis, separate us from our Father. But the good news is that he's not far away. The same God that split the sea for moses, the same God that hushed the mouths of lions in the lions den, the same God that was with David when he conquered Goliath, is the same God that bows to wash our feet. In the book of Matthew, Jesus is having the last supper with the 12 of his disciples. And Jesus goes around and washes their feet. Why does he do that? Because all the disciples traveled so much that their feet had been through everything. Dust, dirt, grass, thorns and all. They could take a shower whenever they wanted. But their feet took them everywhere in their walk of life. As you would imagine, they needed to be washed, so Jesus washed them. There is a much greater lesson to learn there. I encourage you to read the book of Matthew for yourself.

My last thought is that you all would be encouraged to know that Jesus died so that your burdens would turn to wonder. God changed my life. I was so separated from Him. He told me to go right and I went left. But He loves me enough to fix my path so that my eyes would be set on Him, even in the lowest valley and even on peak of the highest mountain. I encourage you to use your trials and turmoil and circumstances to teach others how to love better, how to live better and how to keep chasing after their dreams and more importantly, their creator. If you're going through trial right now, just know that you're not alone. Stronger is one with God than ten thousand without Him. Keeping chasing after it ya'll.
