I can’t believe I actually lived though the full transition from VHS to DVD. Like there are people alive who have never seen a VHS tape….I remember when we were still tryna figure out how the fuck they got a full movie onto a cd.

When Negan hit whomever was sitting there and they looked right back up, despite just being hit that hard by a bat wrapped in wire and Negan proceeds to say ‘Ohhh and he took it like a champ’ and every one immediately begins to panic as he goes for the second swing. Almost anyone would have dropped after that first hit, even Daryl and Rick. They would have fallen and let it happen, but Abraham doesn’t stand down the easily. The way he looked at Negan when they met each others eyes… That made Negan want to show the others how he could break down such a strong person in their group and he did. He did.

The thing that I love most about fanfic, beyond the joy of the stories and the personal enjoyment I get from creating them, is how it brings everyone to the same place. People who are still watching the show and don’t yet plan to stop, people who aren’t watching anymore for any number of good reasons, people who are firmly TD and people who are 100% TA and everywhere in between.

Nothing, not the writers, not canon, not the fans who seem to think they need to try, can take fan fiction away from us. It’s ours and we have a hell of a lot of greatness to show for it.
