The blossom for the Destiel talk starts with one "I'm sorry"
15x09 meta. The Trap. Destiel meta. Spoiler.
Hello my friends! We are here again! Trying to decipher this whole huge episode written by Berens.
We had a lot of Destiel and even a Destiel hug, in Purgatory!!!!!
The first huge Destiel scene we had was Cas asking Dean not to be stupid, this was a surprise for Dean because Cas usually doesn't talk to him like that. Dean remained speechless, and it was so delightful to see... Because we know badass will always be hot... We were watching that scene and we saw Dean's turned on face, it was hilarious!
The important thing here, is that Castiel is the one thinking like a strategist, taking war decision, focused on the mission. Like the soldier he is, and Dean was so unfocused, that Cas had to take the command. The first time is when he made Dean decline his plan to rescue Sam and go to Purgatory for that blossom, and the second time was when they just arrived to Purgatory, Dean wanted to go separately, and Cas shoved that idea off. And after that, he said LET'S GO, so, Commander Castiel had given an order!!!! And Dean followed it!
Dean seemed to be uncomfortable by Castiel's side, that's why he proposed him to go separated, and that's why he named Benny. He needed a third one to avoid Castiel.
Minutes later, Dean felt they were walking on circles, like that vicious circle he named in that joke in episode 15x06. That's because Dean felt he's make my circles with Castiel's, not going anywhere.
And then... Cas was honest again... The hard quote he threw Dean, after trying to show him he was sorry because of Jack, and he already had said I'm sorry to Dean, but he didn't wanted to listen, Dean couldn't move on... The hard quote came after Dean played his card saying Cas left, blaming him for leaving... The hard quote from Cas was... "I LEFT, BUT YOU DIDN'T STOP ME." This was like a bomb my friends!!! Dean remained speechless again!!!!
Is like if Cas was saying... You wanted me to leave. That's why you didn't stop me.
Dean knows that's not truth at all. But he was muted.
Lovers Separation and the Prayer
When the Leviathan trapped Cas, the first thing the angel yelled at Dean was "LEAVE!" Castiel is protecting Dean again, from any harm leviathans could make him. But obviously, Dean didn't leave him.
Even so, they got separated again!!! And the clock is ticking, and Dean got desperate... So he prays...
The prayer exposed Dean's deep misery as a human, Dean talked about this toxic behavior, he know he acts like that, hurting people by his side, throwing his own guilt and fears against the ones he loves. He began the prayer with the last honest quote Cas told him... I SHOULD STOP YOU. When Cas left. Dean should stop him, why? BECAUSE YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND. I will stop in this quote... Dean is talking about him, he is not saying YOU ARE OUR BEST FRIEND, he is saying MY. That's a huge step, and also it is important to understand he is not saying YOU ARE LIKE A BROTHER, he is not putting Castiel in that position, as he did in episode 11x23, using the words BEST FRIEND, is a huge step for Dean.
He recognized he was angry, and he threw his crap to Cas, who had always been there.
Then he took the I'm sorry Castiel had said to him, several times, and he answered OF COURSE I FORGIVE YOU. Because how couldn't he? How couldn't he forgive Castiel? That's a huge quote there too, he is saying, no matter what Cas does or says, Dean will always forgive him, you do that just with people you love, deeply.
Then, he repeats I'm sorry a lot of times, with tears running on his face, that's heartbreaking, and that's too sincere. The huge fact is... He's kneeled down while he is asking for Castiel's forgiveness.
When Dean found Castiel, and Cas said YOU MADE IT, my brain just exploded... Why Cas said this?? You made it? Why?
How could Dean find him? Oh yes!! Their bond!!!! Dean found Castiel following instinctively a path, a line between them... The longing, the profound bond!!!!
The Destiel hug in Purgatory was the most beautiful, meaningful, emotional hug I saw between them...
Look at their faces... Look at them!!! Dean is about to cry again and Cas is so relief, as if he found his way back home in that hug... I have no words... I will need my friend @mrsaquaman187 to make a body language reading from this... Damn...
Dean was about to say I'm sorry again, but Castiel stopped him I HEARD YOUR PRAYER. Wow, Dean's face right there like... A little embarrassed... But relieved.
Okay, time to talk about Saileen, our guide for Destiel... And they keep them dressing in Destiel color coded, so EILEEN was in green (she is a Dean mirror) and Sam in blue (Cas mirror). Eileen is leaving, saying she doesn't know what is real or what is not... I had a deja Vu there my friends... The WE ARE scene in 15x03, but this this time Sam didn't said WE ARE, but he kissed her!!!!!!!! Because they're real!!! Okay, I will stop now...
The final scene showed us Dean and Cas sitting on the table, and completing each other's sentences... They are almost back...
Cas: Chuck is gone, but...
This was the blossom for the Destiel talk, and it began with one I'm sorry.
Said Michael to Dean in 15x08... I guess he followed his advice...
The episode was beautiful, full of Destiel scenes, and the prayer was so meaningful, seeing Dean using his words was a bless, and I really believe it will lead us to the Destiel talk.
