I'm Ellin!
His attention fell on the younger girl in front of him. She was pretty, however, there was something off and odd about her that caught him off guard. He stood silenced at his spot and looked at her, trying to figure out what might be off about her, but he could not point a finger at it. He probably looked creepy there he stood, lost in his thoughts, but was caught back as the girl spoke and the corners of his lips nudged up into a warm smile. He bowed down before her, the smile still lingering on his lips.
"Thank you miss, however, you are a lot prettier than I am,"
If ghosts were able to blush, that’d certainly be what Ellin was doing. She hid her face behind her hands in a childish manner, her grin spreading cartoonishly wide. Chime-like giggles were released from her form once again, and she, too, bowed towards the other. Truth be told, the spirit hadn’t been aware that he’d been looking at her for long. She was too enthralled by the simple things around her to have taken notice, and she had spoken to him nearly immediately when finally did.
“Thank you, but I beg to differ.” She reached out to touch his face, but stopped herself halfway, letting her arm fall back to her side. No. She couldn’t touch him, even if she wanted. However, she didn’t let that sour her mood. “Just look at your face! It’s much cuter than mine.”
Curious, he watched her reaction as he answered her question, wondering what kind of response she would give him. Once noticing she was mulling it over in her head, he decided to look back to the shop, wondering what was taking so long with his coffee. He jumped from the sudden exclamation, “Good for you, so am I.”
Yongguk had watched movies, tons of movies but he never believed any of the events that happened in them were true. There’s no possible way that someone wished to be older than suddenly was the moment they opened their eyes. Again, his mind was wandering away from reality. Her expression perplexed him even more and he played a little longer in her game, “It’s May. May 10th, 2014.”
She hesitated for a moment before nodding her head in confirmation. Her birthday was – is – April 2nd, so she was most definitely aged twenty-four. While it wasn’t as if she could exactly truly experience what it was like to be at said age with her circumstances, she liked at least knowing what she could have been. Being reminded of how old she was was comforting from time to time, if not slightly upsetting.
Her eyes wandered across her room, taking note of a few things until they finally settled on him again. “And this is still South Korea, right?” She inquired, head tilting slightly to the side. The question was a completely ridiculous one to ask, but it was genuine. Ellin wasn’t sure of all that she had missed, if anything at all; being in her lonesome for years does that to a person – er, spirit. She pursed her lips, however, her ever-so-flighty mind having already moved on to the next subject before he even gave a response. “Your name. What is it?”

Name.
Tell me your name.
Sooyoung is startled by the voice that sounds behind her but she nods her head and reaches out to pick the object up. It’s glass and she’s a bit confused as to why the stranger is asking her to pick it up instead of doing so herself, but she’s all for helping. “Is this what you wanted?” she questions, grin spreading across her face.
Ellin watches as she grasps the object. Oh, how she wishes she could still do that. She nods vigorously at the other's questioning. "Yes, that's it!" she confirms, one finger extending to point at the object in her hand. "Could you turn it around, if you don't mind?"
Close Encounter
Kwangyeon sat on the couch. He heard the small noises and he felt your presence in the room. Zico was in control at this moment, he was mostly always in control with the occasional breakthrough from the man who’s body he housed.
"Yes. Hello. Hello. Is there something that you want?" He didn’t have his full strength. He couldn’t see you when he turned. He figured it was his poor excuse of a body. He could still figure out a general whereabouts you were. "There’s a sleeping child and you’re making all this noise."
A small gasp was released from pale lips at the other’s response. If she could be seen, one might take obvious note that her expression had brightened and that her hands were now clasped together in joy. The excitement she felt over the simple accomplishment of getting someone’s attention was childish, but then again she never exactly the chance to mature much past a child.
The reaction was not quite the one she was used to. Normally people were confused or afraid when she did things such as that, but this man wasn’t. Not that she would complain; she’d prefer this type of greeting to that, anyway. “Ah, I’m sorry.” She apologized. She hadn’t realized there was a child about; if she had, it was likely she would have tried to get the youngling’s attention instead. Children always were more perceptive of things like her. “My name is Ellin, and I – I’d like to speak with you.”
Yawning with a small stretch as yet another boring evening faded away, Gayoon jumped slightly as the lamp set on her side table; close to her hand, smashed to the floor, “Yah! —wow, I need to be more careful, I don’t wanna go buying more things, I just moved here.” Creasing her nose up as she peered over the sofa to the lamp, assuming so that she’d caused this with her movement. Perhaps though, Gayoon had begun to go a little crazy in her fatigue, but a high pitched ringing in her ear drew her psychic awareness to the front of her mind; whereas normally she’d try to ignore it for the better of her own judgement. Something about being on her own but hearing this bordered uneasy. Staring up from the lamp slowly, her eyes scanning the corner of the room for anything that would pitch up the ringing; whilst Gayoon was indeed psychic, hers revolved more around telekinesis—though the awareness with it came naturally, over the years of not wanting to believe in particular entities. She had trained her instincts to ignore all but important buzzes. "Hello? …. is someone there? I mean, I know you are."
She pouted slightly as she watched the girl speak as if the fallen lamp was her doing. Two arms crossed over her chest. That was her, not her. It didn’t seem like it had worked; like she had gotten her attention. Should she attempt something else? What could she do to let the other know that someone else was with her?
Her disappointed expression faltered, however, as she noticed the other scanning the room, and she soon found it completely brightening when she heard the words she spoke next. Ah! She had noticed! Though, it didn’t appear that she knew quite where she was. That needed to change. Mustering up all the strength she could, she managed to knock once against the same bedside table she’d knocked the object from, hoping that would help the other find her whereabouts.
“I’m here. I’m right here. Look at me. Look at me.”
Perhaps talking would assist the other, as well. She didn’t know, but she supposed it was worth a shot. Anything was worth a shot as long as she got noticed.

A tug at the other’s clothes is the way she decided to let presence be known this time. She grasped near the collar of the clothing piece before pulling lightly, hoping to elicit a response. It was an act she had gotten used to performing: get their attention, appear, and speak. And that was exactly what she carried out.
“Psst. Look here.”
The question perplexed Yongguk as he glanced to the female standing next to him as he waited to receive his coffee. It was probably the dazed look on her face that had him wondering what kind of state this girl was in. Being clueless in the middle of the airport was probably one of the last place she wanted to be in. Was she on drugs? Was this a normal thing to just approach random people and screw with their minds?
"It’s 2014," he said finally. He decided he’d only have to play along with her until his coffee was finished and then he’d never see her again.
“Twenty-fourteen,” she mused, a thoughtful frown making its way upon her face. Calculations ran through her mind. 2014. So, that meant it’d been about … seven years? Yes, seven years. It had been seven years. That small fact alone would make it easier for to pinpoint her age and she did just that. “ – I’m twenty-four!”
Oh, Ellin. Unfortunately for her, Ellin no longer had any sort of filter. When she came to the conclusion of her age, she couldn’t help but blurt it out, a wide grin forming on her face. It likely made her look strange to seem so overjoyed at the common knowledge of knowing one’s own age, but she, frankly, did not think of that. For a small moment, that was the only thing that was the important to her, and it made her giddy. However, her expression did eventually falter, and she soon turned her attention back to the man, asking another question. “Wait – the month. What month is it?”
Much like always the room had a thick scent of alcohol, cigarettes and dried blood hidden in plain sight. She clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth as she ran a finger along the dusty surface of a table holding nothing but a cracked picture frame of the man and his family. She was only renting the place for some time before finding a better location for herself, but she highly doubted she’d be able to even survive the period of time she spent here. The place had given her chills the minute she had stepped into it, but knowing that the abode came free and with guaranteed protection was the only reason she took up the offer.
It was the sudden sound of metal against wooden tiles that caused her frame to stiffen. She whipped around in her spot to find herself staring at the fallen lamp, bulb surprisingly still intake after such a fall. Her eyes ran around the vicinity only to fall on the slightly parted door that led to the mess of a backyard. That would’ve been a reasonable excuse except for the fact that not a single breeze curled its way into the house. Strange. But she’d seen stranger.
She easily picked up the lamp and placed it back where it had once been. Just as she turned, ready to leave the house for business unfinished, the sound of a voice caught her attention. She couldn’t smell it. She couldn’t smell what should be the sweet scent of blood seeping from pores. She couldn’t smell a thing. And yet she stood staring at the form of a young woman she had never seen before. Her jaw clenched as adrenaline coursed through her entity. She hadn’t experienced anything like it before, and it set on her on edge.
“Name.” She ordered immediately, her hand easily slipping into the pocket of her jacket where she concealed her gun. Would that even work on something like this? (Whatever this was.) “Your name and reason for being here. Now.”
Death had dulled quite a few of Ellin’s senses. Her sense of space was out of whack, her sense of time was questionable, and her sense of smell was the worst of them all. Despite how strong it actually may have been, the scents that filled the abode barely tickled at the ghost’s nose. She paid no mind to them; it was nothing more than background noise to her, and that was how she planned to keep it.
Her expression crumpled, however, at the woman’s sharp words. It was to be expected, of course. Showing up from nowhere and knocking down possessions wasn’t exactly the nicest way to make an entrance, but it was the one she had become accustomed to. She was largely unsure of any other way how and feared she would be ignored if she did not do so. Her appearance likely didn’t assist her, either. With unkempt hair and her shirt still slightly stained with red, she probably didn’t appear to be, well … the most friendly of folks. Whether it was the former or the latter or both or neither making her so sharp, she did not know.
She did not have ill intentions, though; she simply couldn’t help the way she looked. It was how she appeared upon death, and it was how her appearance would stay. She puffed her cheeks full of air before expelling it, the action likely making her appear immature and strangely calm given the situation. “My name is Ellin.” The volume of her voice did not change, but her demeanor seemed to have shifted. She spoke short sentences, but they gave answers. It was not like she had anything worth hiding; anything to lose. She was already dead, after all.
“I just wanted to – “ her face was partially hidden behind her blonde locks. Attention was what she was after. Attention was what she was always after. “ – to talk to someone.”
Her gaze flicked around the room, barely landing on one thing before it moved to the next. Her attention span was small, and little things caught her eyes. “This place is pretty.”

Ellin’s eyes studied to foreign object placed on the table as much as she was able to. She was tempted to pick it up and examine it further, but she knew she wouldn’t be able to; that it would simply slip through her fingers if she attempted. Her gaze moved to someone else, asking.
“Can you pick that up for me?”

Eyes crinkled as a rather goofy grin spread across her features. Her eyes fixated on the other, her expression brightening suddenly as if someone had flipped a ‘happy’ switch within her. A head dropped slightly to the side, and she tittered.
“You’re pretty.”

Perception of time was just one of the things that had become distorted to Ellin over the years. She normally wouldn’t think about things like that; it was unnecessary, she thought. However, she couldn’t help but feel inexplicably curious from time and time, and this happened to be one of those times. As semi-transparent hands counted on her fingers, she tried to map out how much time had passed; how old she was now. Try as she might, she kept getting stuck and confused and, eventually, a tad frustrated.
“Years.
What year is it?”
