Happy birthday to Escapist Fiction!!!! I'm totally supportive of it being on hiatus right now, especially with the Power Pills anniversary coming up, but know that EF is beloved and we're eagerly awaiting its eventual return! 💛💚💜❤️🩵🤎🖤

Ah, thank you so much!! ;D; Things have been a LOT more hectic this year than I thought it would be between the Webtoon contest an @powerpills 10th anniversary OTL and also like. Returning to COLLEGE? Almost 10 years after I graduated High School?? The same college that mentally fucked me up so bad it INSPIRED Escapist Fiction to begin with???

On top of dealing with some EXTREME writer's block in regards to arc 2 of EF which had me seriously considering whether or not Escapist Fiction is unwriteable in its current state.

BUT I AM HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT I HAVE MOVED PAST THAT!!!! I've found a solution that seems to be working so far and I even caught myself doodling a Melody the other day don't worry about her expression she's. Fine. which is a REALLY good sign that the burnout is FINALLY starting to abate!

The 10th anniversary of Power Pills is on the 27th of this month and I plan on running out Art Fight's timeclock and then I will finally, FINALLY be able to work on Escapist Fiction again!!

MY WEBTOON CONTEST ENTRY IS HERE!!

Daylight Meets Nightshade is the story of a magical girl in a world where magical girls are a highly contested fact of life. When her partner goes missing, her investigation into where she went drags her into a rabbit hole of conspiracies that threaten to overtake her and everyone else.

Basically: I'm mad at the state of our world right now and this story is me venting my frustrations. I'm trying to make it focus on collective action and hope. We'll see.

Webtoon has it so that audience participation is 40% of the final score, so any and all readthroughs and interactions are GREATLY appreciated ToT/)(\

Hello, big fan of your Escapist Fiction webcomic, I'm a huge dork for magical girls and i just gotta ask a few questions:

- Do the main cast have a team name?

- Do the magical girls have a magical mascot

- Will that one alien guy become part of the team?

I haven't thought of a team name for them yet! I feel like I should but nothing has really struck me as "THAT! That's the one!" yet >M<. I gotta figure out something to call them haha.

They do not!! I considered the idea of giving them one, since it's SUCH a staple of the genre and I'm sure Tammy would've wanted one! Howeeeverrr... magical mascots tend to be there specifically to help new magical girls figure out what they're doing and how the world works which would've made one kind of redundant when Tammy is... basically playing that role in this story.

As for plans with Oro......... I do have some! What exactly they are I can't say without spoiling too much though >:^)c

HI everyone, soooooo.... the queue just ran out.

I have more of an explanation here but, basically, I stopped having fun making this series, likely from burnout, and need to take some time off to have fun with it again! ;0;/)

In the meantime, my superhero webcomic @powerpills is not only still going, it is DOUBLING its output for the next half a year due to scheduling mistakes on my part.

AND I'm working on a DIFFERENT magical girl comic (though this one is more solidly in the Dark Magical Girl genre) for the 2025 Webtoon Contest!! I'll post about it once it's out!
