Hi Tumblr. How are you?
Between Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, I feel like I’ve kept up with most of you. But I thought I’d check in here for those I haven’t caught up with in awhile.
I wanted to check in because when I was listening to Spotify earlier, ‘I Lived’ by OneRepublic came on and it just hit home. I’m trying my best to *live* and I really mean live. Enjoy the little things, take chances, etc. It’s not always easy (because it’s easy to fall into the everyday routine and get caught up in the things that don’t really matter). But I’m trying.
I also wanted to say thank you again. I sincerely wish I could hug each and every one of you. I also wish my words could truly convey how much your support and love has meant to me. You’ve all helped me so much in this healing process. I can never really say thank you enough. So please don’t mind me if I continue saying it forever.
Anyway, I sincerely hope you’re all doing well. What’s new with everyone here?Anything I’ve missed?
Small Victory
Yesterday at my doctor appointment, they told me I could stop washing my face with Dial body soap and start using a very mild facial soap. HALLELUJAH.
@Benefitcosmetics is giving us EARLY ACCESS to their new Brow Collection before it launches -FREE! Let’s be brow besties, the more friends who sign up the more free full-sized product we get!
I’m sure everyone has signed up already, but if not, thought I’d pass this along. This is my referral link (full disclosure) so I could get free products if you sign up but so could you! If you share with friends/family, they could also help you get free products.
And as someone trying desperately to figure out how to pencil my eyebrows until the grow back properly, I’m up for trying just about anything.
June. How? Where is this year going?

I thought I loved the first video but THIS VIDEO TOPS IT. So much to love in under 5 minutes.
Well, this is just fun.

New work rule.
Hello, hi.
How is everyone? I feel like I see most of you on Facebook/Instagram/Twitter, but that’s OK. Thought I’d check in anyway.
It’s Thursday, which means it’s almost Friday. It’s also graduation weekend and I am so beyond excited to see many of the girls I coach graduate. For so many of them, graduation wasn’t in the cards just a couple of short years ago. Now look at them! It’s amazing and it always makes me cry.
I’m getting better every day. I’ve had minor setbacks here and there (like the day I was convinced I re-ruptured my spleen... I didn’t. Thank God.) but otherwise, I’m excited that everything is healing. Just takes time. Still amazing what the human body can do with time though.
Starting to brainstorm ways I can get involved in light of what happened to me. I reached out to the foundation that was started by the mom of the Boston Marathon victim. They’re working hard to raise funds to support and train more trauma doctors, which is awesome. I was added to their email list and hope something can come of that where I can help out. If you have any suggestions of organizations/foundations that I can support in some way, let me know. I’m open to any and all ideas.
Anyway, long note. I’ll stop now. Hope you’re all having a nice week!

HRH The Duchess of Cambridge posing for the centenary edition of British Vogue.
“Josh [Olins] has captured the Duchess exactly as she is - full of life, with a great sense of humour, thoughtful and intelligent, and in fact, very beautiful. Not only do they reflect her love of the countryside, interest in photography and championing of the National Portrait Gallery as our very committed patron, but they also encapsulate what Vogue has always done so brilliantly - to pair the best photographers with the great personalities of the day, in order to reflect broader shifts in culture and society. We had fun in making and choosing these images, and I hope that comes across.“ - Nicholas Cullinan, director of the National Portrait Gallery
Human Loop
We’ve seen people on skateboards and motorcycles loop the loop many times. Damian Walter is the first human to do it on foot. To run it without falling, you need to reach the right speed; then, centrifugal forces will keep you locked on the track. Note how his shoulder line stays dead center of the loop. For this particular one, Damian needed to accelerate up to 8.65 mph in the highest point to be able to gain enough inertia as to rotate his body and legs around his head fast enough, so when gravity finally wins, he’s already feet down on the track.
