Hey guys! Uh I really hate asking for help lol but financial issues are far too big to handle right now without any support from my family. I’m trying to raise money for my surgery I need in order to complete my transition to ease my lifestyle. I am 18 years old and am female-to-male transgender. I have been on hormones for almost a year now and I am looking to get top surgery before I go into the military after graduation. In order to qualify in the military, I would need to be on hormones for 18 months and do any surgery prior to joining. I come from a family in financial struggle, and seeing as this is quite a speedy requirement and I do not have any support from my parents for this surgery, I am reaching out for help. The surgery is roughly $8,000, however my insurance should cover most of it. I expect a pocket cost of around $4,000/$5,000. I am doing my best to save up myself, but as a full time student it is not the easiest thing. Any donation is greatly appreciated, and I will post updates as they come around!! However I do highly recommend donating to more urgently needed gofundme’s instead of my own. Again, I hate asking for help but I just don’t see how I can afford this completely on my own.
