I saw the marvellous Charles Dance and Geraldine James at the Orange Tree Theatre in “The Creditors”. They were excellent, particularly CD as the manipulative, scheming, vengeful ex-husband.

Which Cabin Pressure episodes do you play when you're breaking down and you need to turn off your brain and make yourself feel better?

I probably turn most frequently to (in order) Paris, St Petersburg, Limerick, Zurich, and Wokingham- though I haven't been able to listen to Wokingham recently because some of the themes about caring for aging relatives have been a smidge too close to the reasons why I need to be cheered up in the first place...

Honestly I think each episode provides something different- when I did an advent listen-through I identified St Petersburg as something I listen to when I'm feeling defeated and Limerick as something I listen to when I'm feeling lonely (about which more here) so I'm wondering- for the episode you picked, what itch does it scratch?

This is a wonderful idea :D

My personal number one go-to episode is Fitton. It feels like a low-stake filler episode where you get to know the characters a bit better. It's got shenanigans. It's got tipsy Martin who's lost a lot of weight since he was Martha. It's got one of my favourite Arthur moments. Bath moments.

And then there's Ottery St. Mary! HERCULES SHIPWRIGHT AND THE SHEEP and the Otters and the Piano (a piano) and I don't even know why this episode always seems to comfort me.

Last one is Johannesburg. I think it's hilarious, from beginning to the end. First Officer Douglas Richardson to the rescue. He does not only rescue the crew in this episode, he's rescued me on bad days more than I can count.
