If you watched the Good Omens finale and hated it, and you haven't already started to feel sad about Good Omens, let the Grieving Process and the Coping start Now. It'll be healthier in the long run, I promise.

Write AUs. Engage with fandom friends. Talk about your feelings on tumblr. And slowly Aziraphale and Crowley, as they were in season 1, will come back to us, until we can let go properly and completely. When we're ready.

For something that means so much to so many people to end like this, to end like this. It's heartbreaking. I've been there. Good Omen series 1 got me through the worst time of my life. I imagine I'm just a little further along the healing process than I imagine lots of you are and that's ok.

Season 1 is the only canon to me. They love each other as they are, they are Ineffable Husbands. Everything else didn't happen and I can get my fix from fanfiction.

Fiction Podcasts* With the Most Fanworks on AO3 (As of July 24, 2025)

The inspiration and legwork for this was heavily drawn from @bakanokiwami 's yearly Top 20 Podcasts, which they do every November. I'm literally using their whole format and criteria and everything.

* In bakanokiwami's yearly analyses, they exclude web series and other media which release audio-only/podcast versions, but are primarily known as something else. This version includes them!

For my strictly podcast analysis, go here. It has rank movements and everything! (Seriously guys this is the side-chart)

I've excluded all non-fiction podcasts, and podcasts/audio content that is part of a larger franchise but not the main part (ex. Doctor Who audio-dramas).

Critical Role, Dimension 20 and Legends of Avantris are all TTRPG actual play web series that release podcast versions.

Cabin Pressure was a radio sitcom that aired on BBC from 2008-2014 and released CD versions and a podcast version in 2019.

Charisma House appears to be a multimedia project which started as a audio-drama, and which that aspect remains the main-focus.

In the event that Charisma House isn't what I think it is, L.A. By Night, an Vampire: The Masquerade actual play web series that released a podcast version should be our final rank, with 338 fanworks.

To make this ranking, all series titles in Other Media were copy-pasted to Google Sheets, rearranged according to number of fanworks, and then manually filtered since not all podcasts were marked as such. Because this was my first time running AO3 stats, I followed @toastystats 's guide, which you can find here.

The data for this was taken while logged in, so locked fanworks are included in the count.

All mistakes are mine and mine alone, please let me know if you catch any.
